I am currently employed by NCA.  I am reading peoples comments, and not the least bit surprised of peoples ignorance.  We live in a day and age WHERE EVERYTHING is made cheaper somewhere else, HELLLLOOOOO!!! REALLY!  The unit itself is absolutely incredible, people do your homework about the unit and focus less on selling technichs.  The units name is Respiraide 300T .  The positive side effects of negative ions which the unit produces has AN EXTREME AMOUNT OF POSITIVE HEALTH EFFECTS.  ALL ( for the most part) sales people are somewhat persuasive, it is our livelihood, every person has natural abilities n gifts.  As far as the older lady, she OBVIOUSLYsaw the benefits of the unit and seems more on the ball, and wanted and understands THE NEED TO BREATHE CLEAN AIR.  As far as I am concerned we live in a day and age of over priced items,  LIKE THE NEED YO EAT.  I have yet to ever hear of a client who has the unit to complain about their quality of life taking a turn for the worse!!!!!!!!  I am really only hearing complaints of sale techniques, FUNNY have not heard ONE COMPLAINT about what this site IS about ......THE QUALITY OF THE UNIT!

The Niagara Clean Air called me again Friday April 15, 2011, and said that I or someone else in my household had recently helped them by doing a health survey so I had been selected to receive a gift package. Be home over the next hour and they'll come and deliver it.  I said 'I do not want to buy anything'. She said ' you are under no obligation to buy to recieve the free gift.'  I told her that last year I had a similar telephone call and that no one came and gave me the gift box. She said 'We wouldn't just not show up.' I said 'That's what you did last year.' She had no reply. Was I willing to recieve this offer?  It was a travel package, or dining and entertainment experiences, or even grocery purchase cards up to a certain value. I said 'No, I don't think so.' and hung up.  I was dissapointed last year.
I have never 'helped' them by answering questions about health on a survey. Its a lie. The suggestion that someone else in my household did is also a lie: there is no one else.

My opinion in conclusion, if you are interested in learing more about air cleaning systems and related health issues do consumer and medical research and and buy from a reputable dealer.

tom you scam your employees and the people you sell to. do not apply to this company and do not let them in your house as they send in students working on commission.

That still doesn't justify the price of the unit.  You might as well be selling it for $10,000.  What if there's a $400 that can do exactly the same job?  I'm also curious about your 'ignorance' comment - are you implying that people are ignorant because they get scammed by your company?

The other issue with your product is the fact that there's absolutely no concrete information or technical details available on the unit, including on the manufacturer's website; in fact, both the NCA and Respiraide websites look like scam websites.

I think maybe you've been scammed as an employee but maybe haven't realized it yet.

I should point out that if any of the clients that you've personally dealt with make a complaint to the  Ontario Consumer Protection agency, you could personally be fined if they find that the sale was missleading or unfair.

If the transaction was made within the last 12 months, you still have time to take action; as per my previous post, write a formal letter of complaint to NCA (Tom Nacu is the owner) and send it registered mail.  If you do not get a reasonable response, you can then open a formal complaint with the Ontario Ministry of Consumer Protection.  Typically, the accused will want to avoid dealing with Consumer Protection, as they will fine the company as well as make them pay restitution.

They assure you on the phone that they are not trying to sell you anything.  Then they send a kid out to your house to try and sell you a $199 air purifier for the low low price of $3,000.  I encourage everyone to invite these people into your home.  Waste their time and money.

As for the Air Quality survey, they used the we currently sell machines that are used in Dr.'s and Dentists offices and we'd like your opinion on it, that's all.  Liar's with no integrity.  Wouldn't buy a pack of gum from them.
As for the gift, that's coupons for vacations and such that ultimately you end up paying for anyways through user fees.  Some deal.

I was recently employed by this legitimate company and I have found them to be very warm and welcoming. This high end unit costs the same as a high end computer, to put it frankly you know whether you are interested in the product or not minutes into the sales presentation therefore how could we even attempt to scam you? Its just another ordinary product put on sale because there are people like me who stand behind this product. The science behind it is ingenius. I am glad this forum has atleast 1 position feedback.

THey were at my fathers house yeaturday and tried to get 3600,00 from him for something that could be bought for 199.00 They also told me that I didnt care about the helth of my father and that if he dies tomorrow which is has 3 months to live..that I would get it so it would be a bonus for me,, They were rude..had no ID would not give me any ID and I kicked them out of the house. At The end they said to my dad sorry we cant give you clean air today because your daughter dosnt want you to have it. Id like to ring there necks!!!!!! All they want is commission on a machine that absoulutly does not cost 3600.00 Shame on them for preying on the elderly.! I am leting the local newspaper know as well as the local radion station...!!!!!!!

They are nothing but scammers.... My father got a call from this number they showed up as niagara clean air with no identification what so ever. they managed to get him to write a cheque for 3600.00 for an air cleaner that clearly would cost 199.00. I was very lucky to have been home to interfere with this transaction and kicked them out on there [***]!!!!! How dare they prey on the elderly like that what a shame!!! And to tell me that I don't want to take care of my fathers health properly. Who are they to tell me how to take care of my family!!!! They are the ones who don't care about the elderly trying to take all there worth away from them. Shame Shame Shame!

wow. I have COPD, asthma & terrible allergies. After seeing a respiratory specialist, he recommended I invest in the amazing product you took away from your father. After only 48 hours I knew I made the best investment of my life. Now it has been over 3 years and I have cut back on ALL my medication, when i walk into my apartment I no longer need to use my oxygen tank. Kelly, I strongly advise you do some research on this product, it is worth a million times more than $199. you cannot compare thisair purifier to something you'd find at sears.

The 'science' behind it is a mystery, since neither the NCA website nor the manufacturer's website gives any legitimate information on the product.  If you want to compare it to a high end computer, well, you wouldn't pay $2500 for a computer if the only information given was "it's fast, trust us!"

I just bought an air filter for $15000 and my air is really clean! You can't compare it to those cheap $3500 units.  I'm sure it's 10 times better - that's what the sales guy said; if you can't trust a sales guy, who can you trust!

hi michel. i worked for NCA for 5 yrs and you are incorrect the saviair 5000 is well worth what its sold for . Its people like you that have no clue what they are talking about and if you want to try any other air cleaner out there none will compare to the saviair... . with other air cleaners you get what you pay for with this one you get top notch customer service and impecable warranties.... SO NEXT TIME YOU WANT TO GIVE YOUR FEEDBACK ON SOMTHING MAYBE YOU SHOULD SAVE SOME MONEY AND BUY ONE . THEN YOU CAN GIVE YOUR HONEST INFO TO SHARE .. These people contacted my father who is also 80 and lives in a new retirement residence where he doesn't cook or smoke.  The residence has air filters in their apartments and air quality is not a problem.  They got in by saying my father won two pair of earrings and then talked him in to spending 3700. on his visa.  They also took his fairly new smaller air purification system with them and said they gave him a 1,000. rebate on his bill!!!  We will be following this up with the police!

Lorraine, why would you not give the public all the facts? Why would you not add that when you contacted me and explained the situation, that without hesitation we told you we would gladly refund all of his money? And saying you're following up with the police? Even if we refused to cancel the sale, it would be a civil matter and have nothing to do with the police. And he must have felt air quality was somewhat of an issue otherwise why have a portable air cleaner in a building that already offers air filtration. As I told you we will be contacting you Monday regarding pick-up.
