I was called by a man with a very thick accent from India threatening me with legal action if I did not call back or have my retained attorney call back.  He was very difficult to understand and has already called me 3 days in a row. I have family members who are attorneys and they said this was a scam. Do NOT give him money.

This particular group of scammers call, as they ride through the dirt streets of Calcutta, on their camels. Simply ignore their calls, give them no information, and don't feel sorry for their camels, if they don't get their next meal.

Recieved this call for a second time, as they keep asking for my brother.  Caller stated his name was Allan Clark and that he was from the department of legal affairs for the US Treasury.  After telling my brother about this, he told me that the IRS has his number so to simply ignore it. Reporting this to  do not call registry as the number they call me on is on the list.

I just got the exact same voice mail message as everyone else. The caller stated his name was Allan Clark and that he was from the department of legal affairs for the US Treasury. He also threatened me with legal action if I did not call back or have my retained attorney call back.  

"Camel" jockey terrorists in East India claiming to be from US Dept of Legal Affairs trying to scam Americans.

My wife answered the phone this morning and a few minutes later came into the room to tell me that she was told a warrant for her arrest had been made by the IRS and a police officer would be coming by to arrest her.  She was given a number to call which ended up being the same number that made the call in the first place.  She was informed that her taxes from 2009 were fraudulent, they had her name and home address (easy to find on the internet), they read a statement and ended the call.  My wife was scared, she runs a daycare business from our home and getting arrested out of the blue is right up there on the list of bad things that can happen in a day to someone.  She said the voice sounded foreign, but the name the caller gave was Ryan Coleman.  I immediately jumped on the internet with suspicion of scam and found this site among a few others.  My wife called the police and the IRS.  The IRS has been getting several recent complaints about this Scam.  I don't understand what the scam is, since they only seemed to want to terrorize my wife.  The IRS urges others to report this problem if you get a call from this number.  It's illegal for anyone to impersonate a government agency.  They also said the Don Not Call registry can't assist in avoiding calls from this entity because it's a completely illegal operation.

Got a call from same number today.

It guy he call me too he say I own 4000 some thing tax money but I didn't work in my life how I got tax money and he say if I don't pay they will put me in jail 6 month and I block he number he I don't know why he call my brother cell I don't get it how he got my brother cell phone number crazy guy

Claims he is from US treasury and he needs me and my lawyer to call number he provided because law enforcement is looking for me.

got this message today . I got this call a couple of months ago. I didnt understand what he said. But i blocked the number.

Got the same call about owing $4000 to the IRS due to fraudulent 2009 tax returns.  Claimed that IRS came to my house 3 times to talk to me and that I will need a criminal attorney.  When I told him he was wrong he said I would be arrested in the next few hours and I hung up.

This was the message I received today ( in a heavy accent):
This message is intended for_____. This is Allan Clark with the Department of legal affairs at the US Treasury. I was trying to contact you in regards to a very important issue. This is a __ notification in regards to enforcement issue that have been studied in you name. My number is 213-928-7123.
I would suggest that you have your retain attorney to do this.
If you delay this call it’s going to result in a legal mess for you.
I hope you could take this right.
This is Allan Clark with the Department of legal affairs.
Looking forward to speak with you.

Same scam.   Allan Clark asking for my husband.   Second time he called.  I told him he was a scam.   He got mad and hung up.   Awful that people are doing this.

"Allen Clark" with the same scam is now calling from 760-565-9533.  He is even providing an ID number (ID 11416) to prove he's a government official.  I didn't know it was that easy to become a government official!

I received a call from "Alan Clark" and he claims to be with the US Treasury.  He wants me to call him back at 909-666-5804.  Of course, I know this is a scam and won't be doing that.
