I received a call this morning (2-2-2015) from phone number 909-271-4402 from a man that said his name was Albert Johnson from the US Treasury Legal Dept.  He said there was a warrant for my arrest for tax evasion.  This is not true and I believe he was phishing for information to commit identity theft.  I did report this to the local police department who is aware of the scam.

Received call 2-3-15 11:45 a.m. from 909-271-4402.  This was a gentleman with a heavy middle eastern accent, it was difficult for me to understand his name, but I think it was something "Johnson".  I hung up, he called right back.  Twice.  He claimed to be with the U.S. department of the treasury, I.R.S.  When I asked which he was with, because they are actually two separate entities, he just bulldozed on, wanting to verify my address.  I told him that I would verify nothing with him and that if he wanted to reach me he could send a correspondence to the address he had on file.  He tried to tell me that there is "legal action" against me, and that if I don't pay attention, someone (unintelligible) would be at my home tomorrow morning and would put me "in the slammer" and that I would then be "behind the bars".  When I told him I thought it was a scam, he became frustrated and said that this was a recorded call and I needed to verify my information with him.  I asked him to please not call this number again and hung up.  This time he has not called again.

I received the same call from Albert Johnson.  This is definitely a scam!!!  Do not give them any information!!!

Received the call from 909-271-4402 just a few minutes ago from an "officer" Steve Carson, Badge #503 and an IRS ID#11033. He told me that I should have already received a notice in the mail that my 2012 taxes were filed illegally. I told him I haven't received anything and he replied that there was nothing he could do as agents for the IRS were arriving at my home within 30 minutes with an arrest warrant. I told him that this was highly irregular as the IRS would have done an audit and notified me through my tax attorney. I also asked why he was calling out of California instead of a local office. His answer was that the IRS Legal Dept was located only in that state. I told him that was incorrect. He told me to "Be quiet, I'm not going to tell you a second time." So I asked him what could I do to prevent my arrest and he said there was nothing he could do for me anymore. (I guess I pissed him off) I told him to go ahead and send the agents as I will be locked and loaded.

I just got a call from 909-271-4402 asking for one of my sons.  The "asian" sounding voice told me that he was with the legal division of the IRS and that my son was going to be arrested. "Was this his address?"  I did not answer his question, instead I said to him, you know the IRS does not make phone calls.  He reiterated that my son (who he called by name) would be arrested and I said fine.  He hung up!!!!

THIS IS A SCAM. A man with a heavy accent calling himself Jason Dean, an IRS manager,  called saying I owed for a mistake in my 2009 taxes. He said I was going to be arrested within 2 hours. They basically hung up on me as I pressed for information as to what county the arrest was in, who the arresting officer was, an IRS contact name, his managers name and why I had not been notified before now.

Got a call today from this man claiming to be Andrew Hall. First, and I know this, the IRS does NOT call you. They will send you a letter. Please don't fall for this scam.

I got a call from mr. Hall as well.  Same message as you all have recvd.  And then an hour later with the same message though another persons name.  This phone number was 323-952-8624. Totally scams.

This is definitely a scam. Andrew Hall attempted to call my sister today as well (2/6/15). Not only was he obnoxious but he called three times in a row. Very unprofessional. I told him I would take a message but did not give any information. I hope he calls again so I can tell him where to go.

I got this call twice today.  First time it went to voice mail. Second time I answered.  He gave the same info as the voice mail.  He named my adult daughter.  I told him no one by that name lives here, which is true.  I did not tell him it was my daughter. I hung up on him. I know the Treasury Dept would never make phone contacts, especially at 7:30 pm on a Friday, but would do all contacts through correspondence. Scam.

Same call for my son..  I'm glad I looked the phone number up and found out what is going on. That really worried me when I heard the message. I feel a lot better now... who does things like this?

Received call from ALBERT JOHNSON ( with very heavy India accent...really HAHA !) with the Dept of Legal Affairs of U S Treasury with a very IMPORTANT issue and if I could not call I would need my atty to call him Phone# 909 271 4402. He was reading from his cue card Its a scam people!!!! Phone# was showing Pomona Area
