Got the same text then asked some questions and it was just trying to get my info and said they'll give me info of when they'd come to get. Yeah right.

Craigslist Scam to get your information!

Received same message today...unfortunately I gave them my name and address. ...but I told them I knew it was a scam after reading these posts. They can't do anything unless you deposit that check. Only info they have is my name and address and that is public record. ...damn scammers

Received a text from this number. Asking if my item on Craigslist is still for sale. I could tell it was a scam text from past experience. I didn't respond. Flagged the number as a scam. Hopefully, I won't here back from them.

I received the exact same post asking for my full name address saying he will be paying by check or money order an will add an extra 40 dollars as a favor to hold the item for him an I told him we need to keep this safe for us both cash only an we can meet at a police department to get the merchandise so need for extra money he or she never texted back an I didn't give him a name nor address!!

Same as above. "Including an extra $40 to hold it in my favor". I did give my name and mailing address as I've never sold anything on Craigslist and was unsure of how it worked (thinking money order is no liability). Then I searched online and found this. I texted back that I knew it was a scam. Should I worry about giving name and address? Probably doesn't expose me to anything, I'm guessing...
