Caller ID showed a number I didn't recognize so I didn't pick up. (909-666-5897) The phone rang again several more times, showing the same #. The 3rd time a woman with a thick indian accent left a message saying that this is the second time she tried to get in contact with me and that I am  being reported and how I had to respond immediately or I'd have serious problem...and she said Good Luck before she hung up..... I could barely understand a word he said! Last week a similar call from was 915-317-4924 that time was a man with a thick indian accent left a similar message...I called him back there was a voice mail so I left a message that I called for him to call me back but didn't talk to him

3 calls from this number in the last 2 days. 2 voicemails from a woman with thick (Indian?) accent. something about Department of Legal FairUS Treasury, in trouble, being reported, she says legal action has be started. Kelly Allen was the name she gave.  she also told me God Bless You.  

I got the same call this morning from a woman with a heavy thick Indian accent. Threatened me with legal action even though I have no legal issues whatsoever. I told her she had the wrong person and basically to 'go to heck' and she said 'Ok, you're going to be arrested tomorrow!' and I hung up. I contacted the local police station and they confirmed this is a scam going around.

IT'S A SCAM!  A lady with heavy accent called.  US Treasury Department of Legal Affairs is trying to contact my husband, that it's urgent.  Left a number 909-666-5897, and said that I should contact them right away.  I called the number, a man answered (among backgroud noise) and said that there is fraud, that they need to check something, and asked for attorney's number.  There, I felt something was wrong, so said I'll get back to them.  the guy threatened me that we could be arrested, that the police can come and arrest us.  I said "that's totally fine.  I prefer to be arrested and know what's going on."  

I received a message today from this number.  The woman had a very heavy east Indian accent.  She said her name was Sara Johnson.  She said I needed to contact her right away and that she was from the US Department of Legal Affairs of the US Treasury and some legal action was being taken against me.  She said God Bless You and have a Blessed Day at the end of her message.  I tried calling the number back but it said they were not available. Very strange.  Pretty sure there is no legal action pending on me.  Sounds like a scam and I see from the messages left by others that it must be.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

I got the exact same call! I told her off.

Heavy Indian accent. Said my husband would be arrested if he or his attorney didn't call by tonight. Called 4 times in under 5 min. Pure scam. Hung up on her and called the police.

I got a message from this guy Jack conne saying he is from legal department of us treasury said my mom owes $3997.00 tax if she doesn't pay within three hour, the police will come to arrest her, she will be put to jail for six months. I think this is a scram.

Got a similar call from Sarah Johnson with the department of legal affairs for the US Dept of Treasury. She said I needed to respond ASAP to avoid legal action. She said that the police were going to show up to pick me up if I did not respond with my attorney's information. Total scam!!

I JUST got the same call that everyone is talking about -- Sarah Johnson from dept. of legal affairs with US Dept. of Treasury about an enforcement action started in my name. SO glad to be able to check on the internet that she's a scammer. I didn't pick up or call back, just go this weird voicemail and decided to check it out. Thanks for the info.!

Got the same call from Kelly Allen a lady with a very thick Indian accent, new it was a scam right away, what Indian has a name of Kelly Allen, after them threatening me that I fail to pay my taxes, and was going to Jail, So hung on them and thought why should they have all the fun so I started  calling them back several times threatening them, they now have block my phone so I called from my cell asking when the cops were coming because I was planning on going to dinner and didn't want to miss them.
So please people be careful with these scams just don't answer or just hang up right away.

Same message, same bogus line. I hope they call back, this should be fun!!

I too just received the same voicemail on my land line, same "Sarah Johnson" (yeah right with that heavy Indian accent) claiming to be from the department of legal affairs US treasury. She made the same threats saying that if I didn't call back immediately she would have me reported and if I should call back, that I need to retain an attorney. Since she is falsely identifying herself as someone from the US Department of treasury I'm pretty sure her impersonation constitutes as fraud under a federal statute and she should be reported. I just wonder what happens if someone calls back on a cell phone??? Hacker time?

I got same call from 909 666 5897 Dept of legal affairs us treasury - Jack Conoway(strong indian accent) and then when I asked to speak to supervisor he gave me Barbara Holloway(Jamaican accent) they gave me an address of 290 N. District San Bernandino,  CA  92401.  They said I needed to hire a Criminal attorney as there are criminal charges that have been filed against my husband and could loose his job and go to jail for up to 6months if he doesn't pay the some of $3,997.64.  If not paid instantly law enforcement will be at our house to server him a supeona to appear in court.  They said to in order to resolve this matter immediately and settle out of court then I need to get a tax payment voucher(basically a check issued) at Safeway or Albertsons and then call them back with the validation number at the same number (909 666 5897) within 45 minutes.  Like that was going to happen when it takes me at least 15+ minutes to drive to the store and get voucher etc.. unrealistic.  She said if I didn't do that then law enforcement would show up at my doorstep in 3 hours.  I called IRS immediately and they confirmed that is was a scam. I then had to submit a claim with IRS.  I felt like a sucker after that call.. I feel bad for the folks that actually fall for it. : (

I received the same voice mail msg today 8/29/14 - Sara Johnson, Department of Legal Affairs- US Treasury. VERY thick Indian accent - had to replay the msg over 3 times just to try and understand the verbage.
Said that we should have an attorney call, that this could end up a real legal mess for us. First, the IRS would not use that verbage, and 2nd, the IRS sends notices in writing.  Said God bless at the end of the message.

Scary the things people will do these days! These callers are so stupid - I have never heard of any debt collector threatening someone & then saying God Bless. Beware folks!!
