"John" called me from "Microsoft's IT Department located in Brooklyn, New York."  John told me he was calling about the error messages on my computer and that my computer was infected with virus.  There was a lot of background noise indicating this may have been from a call center.  John asked me what my screen said.  I told him, "I looked up your number on 1-800 notes and it says here that you're a scammer."  He paused for a minute, said, "Really?!?" and hung up.

I got the same call from "John Williams" I asked for his phone number and extension, this is the number he gave me. Then his employee id, which was MSQ315295. I told him I would call and verify his claims and if not legit I was calling the BBB and proper authorities. Meanwhile he needed to take me off his call list.
