wow I have been getting calls as well 1st call was a man with an Indian accent claiming that I am being investigated (Federal) and I need to call but at the end of the message he said good luck and god bless...strange. I saved the message but then erased it..And every day the same then he stopped...Then this morning a lady with and Indian accent giving a name of Lisa Ron stating that they would be officers at my job and I need to call to keep myself out of trouble and that I have 3 allegation with my ss number but was really hard to understand her..then when I called her back the message stated that her VM  was full then said there was an error and then cut me of I tried several time to call her back..number she gave is 909 744-5418...maybe we should report this to the police any one have any ideas?

hey just recieved a call from stacey askin for money and threathing with an arrrest......she wouldnt give me any dates concerning my loans  but she had my address,, what to do?

hey recieved a call from stacey and mike brown  concerning a loan balance and that people were coming to my office to serve papers.......this  is odd.... the number was 9091445418..i did call the police

These people claim they have a criminal case against me and they are sending a warrant for my arrest. Every time i call to find out more some Indian sounding person hangs up on me and blocks my number.

Thank you so much to the saint...I keep getting these calls, and unfortunately I already paid them $150 and supposed to pay them another 602 this Friday, but I'm not going to. I used a prepaid VISA...Information was good to know once again thank you!!!!!

Same story, same people. I have recieved anywhere from 7 calls a day from the last month. The person will not identify who they represent and speak with a thick Indian accent. While in the past they have called from 330 numbers; they recently started calling from 911 which displays as "Emergency Number". I spoke to local authorities who advised me to contact my cell phone provider to possibly backtrack the number to a source. My provider was unable to do so but I encourage everyone to try through their provider. This seems to be a nation wide issue and is a possible phishing scam. The best thing to do is try to get their information and report it to local authorities. The issue is that if it is an outsourced call center in a different country then there is little they can do unless the parent corporation is located within the Continental United States (Conus). The only other option is to have your number changed.

Here is a list of all the numbers they have called me from so far. Keep in mind these are only the calls I have tracked for the last two weeks; they have been calling myself and my wife on two seperate numbers for about three months.

Ok, since typing this ather call from 866-226-3380 with a gentleman named Herman as you all have stated above. I told him unless they were all named herman to stop calling.. I have read your posts and have come to this conclusion... They use information you provide via the internet regarding credit and bank history and then throwing a name of one of the companies you have used and say that you owe them money. Disregard any and all calls from these people.

thanks, for the post number harassing me is 949 258 8581 named Shawn Wilson when saying hot line for callback phone cuts off but got him twice on caller id and did identity search waiting for results. Now today I have been getting 5 calls from 0000 number.  Pretty sure this is a scam i was searching for a loan on the internet at the end of june and calls started july first. I did call the number back and it just said the voicemail was full. I did get through a few days a go and he was stumbling over his words when i asked him what company he worked for he asked who is this, and i said tell me the name of your company . He refused to tell me i asked for a supervisor he said noone was available. This person said he needs me or my retain attorney to call because its extremely time sensitive. hotline 9492588181 He says if i don't return the call all he can do is wish me good luck as this situation unfolds upon me. goodbye and good luck. I saved the voicemails He left pretty sure this is a scam. He3 had that strong india accent. I told him when oi called back i was turning him in didn't give him my name. I figure if it waS REALLY A GOVERMENT OFFICIAL THEY WOULD KNOW IT WAS ME CALLING. aND I WOULD HAVE RECIEVED SOME SORT OF PAPERWORK BY NOW CONCERNING THIS MATTER. WILL GO TO AUTHORITIES WITH MY INFO SINCE THE NUMBER IS NOT LISTED HERE.

The saint is accurate and I have been posting similiar posts around websites to help inform people, I have also been getting these calls for years thanks to the ONE time I took out a payday loan, long ago.

If you aren't going to take legal steps because you are busy or whatever, at least do this one little thing:

CALL THEM BACK AND SCREAM AT THEM!  Cuss at them, act billigerent, everything you can to freak them out.  

They will take you off their list, at least for a long time.  This has worked for dozens of people I know.  If everyone would react this way, and flip the f*** out on them, they would likely stop.. No one would want to do that job.

Do it, consider it therapy if it makes it easier.  For now, its the only immediate way to fight back, and its easy!   :-)
