That's how it happened for me, you'll hear a recording urging you to act to extend your car's warranty. Don't.

Same here. I responded by sending them a text message NEVER to contact me again. They haven't.

I've got a call from 909 842 9124...nobody answered..lasted for 10 seconds then ended...happend 5 minutes ago (today is feb 9, 2009, around 4.55pm NY time)

Googled the number...and found this page...LOVE GOOGLE!!!!

calls on cell phone to sell car warranty

Just received this same call about "urging me to extend the warranty on my car" and immediately googled it (this has happened to me before with another scam 800notes was already aware of that time too).  Guess I should ditch this prepaid cell..

I received the same call from the same number (909) 842-9124.  Didn't recognizr, so didn't answer.  They also didn't leave a message and found it's a "land line" in Ontario, CA.

I had a missed call and didnt recognize the number so i yahooed it and found this site. Because of this site and finding out about the warranty scam i salute all of the above 4 warning us of this and saving our valuable phone minutes!

same here on a prepaid cell. seriously this car warranty thing is getting on my nerves... I mean really do they get ANY return on their effort? Who falls for these scams?

They called my cell phone.  Got a recording stating that the "warranty for my factory owned vehicle has expired..."  Sounds like a scam to me.

Just received a call from this number a few minutes ago. Answered, but no one replied. Had just used 800 Notes to identify another scam. Looks like this is the new one going around.

Called my cell phone trying to sell a warranty for a car. This is the fourth such call and every time I pushed 2 to be taken off the list. This time I just read "Todd" the riot act and he hung up.
