i picked up the phone to an automated person telling me about lowering all my interest rates due to the new law. so i pressed 1 to speak with a rep. from the beginning the guy had an attitude like i called him and he didnt want to talk to me. he proceeded to tell me all my rates could be lowered to 4%. all i had to do was let them call one of my creditors(with me on there) and i could punch in all my numbers so they could see my balance, next payment, etc. of course i asked him what the catch was and he said "MAAM nothing can be charged to your account unless you authorize it". mind you, he said that with an attitude. but he never mentioned any cost!!! i told him i didnt have my credit card numbers with me. and he said ok maam we can do this another day and hung up. VERY RUDE

I just received a call from this same number. When I answer a call from a strange number like this and no one speaks within a few seconds after I say "hello" then I assume it's an automated call and just hang up. That's how this particular went and I Googled the number to see who it was.

I get these types of calls all day where I work. It is ridiculous that as the receptionist,I have to put someone on hold, only to answer the other line and it is an automated call. I have a list of over 20 phone numbers that call here repeatedly. I try NOT to answer it, but sometimes the # doesn't show up on the caller ID display, only a code #. I think "Erica" uses diferent #'s, as I add more from her everyday. We are on the so called "do not call" list. How are they getting through, is what I want to know.

I received call from this number and the line was dead silent for 32 seconds. It is so irritating to receive such blank calls that too from a cellphone! You assume that it's someone you know who is trying to reach you when you 'cellphone' tag in the caller id.This forum is so helpful in clearing any doubts associated with such crank calls, hence I am reporting this one.

just got a new phone number and with in 24 hours we are getting calls from this number .Very irritating ,

I have been hit today by 3-4 different individuals calling from different numbers today, offering to lower credit card interest. When I dialed 1 in response to this number I got an operator asking if I was calling about lowering my card interest rates. As soon I stated that I was on the Do-Not-Call listing, and wanted taken off their call list, the operator hung up on me.

I am turning this number over to the do not call registry

they offer to lower interest rates. i waited through the automated voice to ask to be put on the "do not call" list. he asked to verify my phone number when i tried, he moved into a sales pitch. i told him that as of September 1st automated calls are NOT allowed, he said they got my number from a contest i had entered at a mall-i don't go to malls and i don't give out my info like that, he hung up. i reverse called the number and it states that if you PRESS 1 you will be put on their "do not call" list and it should take 72 hours to take effect.
