i used to be one of his female friends and when i left him this was the number he has always called me from. i am 100% sure that this is him. If your number is listed you need to change it to a private number nd make sure ur address is not listed. he calls to see if u r home or not. just be careful he is a bad person and needs to be put down.

Funny....I got the same call tonight....says his name is Matt Barnes (funny Our last name is Barnes) I was stupid before I realized what was going on....he was a young kid (country slang) talked about a fund raiser to help the needy w/fire detectors and teaching kids in elementary school and so on....very nice....very deceiving!!!  He asked if he could count on our help for this 'fundraiser/drive"....I told him we could not...but then he asked if he sent a bumper sticker would we be willing to send in a small donation....he said the envelope will be addressed w/their MAIN address in Charlotte, NC.  Gastonia to be exact.

Whatever you do...do NOT give out your address....he says NC Law says that they have to mail out a bumper sticker for your vehicle for you to mail back a $25 donation.   I should receive one in a few days....then I am to mail $25 back within 7 days......so frickin' believable!!!  Also that the money we send in will go to Charlotte but will be sorted out by zip codes so that Cumberland County gets the money.

IT'S A SCAM.....I am calling our local fire dept just to make them aware....

recieved severals calls from this number but they never say anything when we answer just keep hanging up.

Great, I just got this call and he gave me the big long speel about firefighters needing volunteer money too.

I fell for it, I gave him my address and said we could donate (my dad was a firefighter, I was suckered)

But now I am incredibly worried since everyone is saying it is a big scam and NOT to give your address. I am so worried now.

Police and fire fighter charities are notorious scams.  Typically they give less than 5% of your donation to charity.  

You can expect more calls and more junk mail from this charity and from other similar organization.  Throw the mail in the recycle bin.  Hang up on the calls.  

If you want to donate to your local fire department call their non-emergency number during normal business hours and ask where to send a check.

It's the Firefighters Association begging for money.

Daughter home along just got a call from him today;  asked for father, found out he's not home wouldn't leave message.  She called dad and now has the big dog, alarm and gun ready.  Hope he doesn't show up there.

Some1 just called me from that same number and i didn't get to the phone in time to answer it. They left no message on the answering machine. So I tried to call the number back twice and I got the busy signal both times. I'm really not liking this...

Ive been getting phone calls from this [***] clown for two weeks. No message no talking just dead air.

Just got a call too. Live in Fayetteville area close to Hopemills. Has anyone told the police about this?
