    I keep getting calls supposedly from Comenity Bank asking for a name I don't recognize and which is not mine. I've never done business with Comenity nor am I ever likely to. Either this is fraud/scam or someone in debt has given my number instead of their own.

    Same as everyone above.  Voicemail threatening escalating legal actions  for someone else's name other than mine.  I've had this number for 15+ years, so let them either take action against this other person for being an idiot giving wrong numbers or let them spend 99 cents on an online check to verify the number.  Definitely sounds like a scam based on posts above though.

    We may need to contact the real comenity bank if there is someone parading around as them. Comenity bank is the company that does PayPal credit, Victorias secret credit cards, and many others. But they are located in Ohio. There Web address is, www.comenity.net. It is possible someone is pretending to be them and trying to get fraudulent funds from unsuspecting individuals.

    I received a call yesterday.  My answering machine picked up because I don't answer long distance calls or calls I don't recognize.  Gave someone's name I don't know and a Forever 21 account.  They are probably trying to scam people into paying over the phone.
