Call's more than once a day so I answered it today. Says they are NRA but ID says IMC. Gave me story and sales pitch on NRA and offered memberships at different price of ( Official Site ) THIS MUST BE A SCAM SINCE IMC IS NOT NRA. I hope they stop calling now

Computer impersonating a human says Michael Bloomberg (former mayor of NY city) is funding ads in Kansas against the NRA. Asks for contributions to support the NRA. Call is from InfoCision.com and funded by a PAC. People donate to PACs so that they can call us over and over.

IMC/NRA Scam  Most likely this group:

    Infocision Management Corporation
    Corporate Headquarters:
    InfoCision Management Corporation
    325 Springside Drive

    Phone: 330-668-1400
    Email: infocis@infocision.com
Apparently they do telephone solicitation, according to BBB.
People claiming to be calling from something called “IMC” are calling  on behalf of The NRA.
Their  calls proceed in a basically scammery manner.  They cold call and then refuse to ID themselves.  They never leave a message.
If you call them back, you get a robo-answer.
They operate in a manner similar to scamming debt collectors in that they basically refuse to give you any information.
They focus on yapping their nonsense  to their target and give out a survey on the NRA.
They also want to engage in a little fund-raising while they’re at it.  Their representatives are rude and abrupt.
This IMC is a good place to block.    I’d ignore  any calls received from these people.
Based 800notes research, they’ve called from:
    201-340-5897

270-282-0506             [One entry says:  IMC aka Infocision Management Corporation see http://www.bbb.org/akron/business-reviews/mar ... -akron-oh-7034/ is the predatory telefunder / telemarketing firm hired by the National Rifle Association and others see https://www.sos.wa.gov/charities/search_detail_cfr.aspx?cfr_id=66 to deceptively abuse consumers with never ending solicitation calls. You have the right under the FTC's TSR to demand placement on their internal do not call list. Kentucky doesn't show a charity or fundraiser search database to protect consumers. State of Washington has a good charity / fundraiser database search see https://www.sos.wa.gov/charities/search_detail_cfr.aspx?cfr_id=66 and Florida https://csapp.800helpfla.com/cspublicapp/giftgiversquery/giftgiversquery.aspx]

    >> Please take me off call list.  <<

    Please realize that:

» Your post here will NOT stop the calls.  We did not call you.  Your caller probably does not read these messages.  We cannot block calls to you.  We cannot put you on or take you off the list.  We do not know who you are, and we do not know your phone number!

    Click_This_Line_for_Info_About_the_DNC_List
The National Do Not Call list is respected by legitimate telemarketers, but is ignored by criminal telescammers.

Surveys, charities, political calls, NON-sales calls and certain preexisting business calls are exempt from the DNCL.

Business phones do not qualify for DNCL protection.

    Click_This_Line_for_Info_About_800Notes_Purpose
Find out who is calling and why: Debt collectors, telemarketers, charities, and survey companies often call without leaving a message. Lookup the number to read the previous reports of other users.

Report telemarketing calls: Make the Do Not Call list offenders notice the problem by reporting their practices. No business wants bad publicity.

Report phone fraud: Did someone try to scam you? Reporting the number is the fastest way to make public aware, and prevent others from falling victim to the scam.

Check out a business: Read other users' feedback about the phone number owner.

»YOU are your own best defense against unwanted calls! You can use a call blocking app, device, service or procedure to block such calls.

    Click_This_Line_for_Methods_to_Block_Calls
Here are some tried and true methods for reducing or eliminating repeated spam / scam phone calls:

    1.  Do not answer the phone if you see an unknown number on your Caller ID ... let it go to answering machine or voicemail.  Many telescammers hang up after three or four rings.

    2.  If you have a smartphone, get one of the inexpensive or free call blocker apps at your online app store, and learn how to use it.

    3.  If your cell is not "smart", read the manual to learn how to set up a "group".  Assign the scammer's phone number to that group.  Also assign a "silent ring" to that group.  You will not hear future calls from that number.

3a.  Alternately, assign a "silent ringtone" as the DEFAULT ringtone.  Then, assign your favorite ringtones to friends, family, contacts, businesses, etc.  That way, you will not hear your phone ring, even if the scammer changes numbers!   (This is also called "whitelisting", and will cause you to miss calls from non-whitelisted numbers, so be careful!)

    4.  For cell phones or landlines: Contact your phone service provider.  They may have a facility or method to allow you to block numbers.

    5.  For landlines: there are several call blocking devices and services available.  Use your favorite search engine to find one.

    6.  DO NOT call unknown numbers back without checking who called (800notes is your friend)! All that does is verify your number is "live".  Instead, read this:

Hi pressure sale full of B/S about the NRA needing money. Started out with a couple hundred dollar membership and before we ended call it was down to $60.00 for two years and trinkets to go with it. These type of people need to be prosecuted and jailed on a island near Cuba if you no what I mean. NRA needs to find them along with our government.

Get several calls from this number, never any message, sure sign of a scam caller.   Of course we never answer, or ever call back -- if you do, you are just giving your number as a probable easy mark and you will get more calls.

Got a call from the number...the man asked for David.  I told him Dave wasn't available and asked if I could take a message.  He said no message is available to give and he would call back.  It was a computer voice that was able to converse.  Tomorrow I will answer with something abstract to see how it answers.
