Yonkers, NY on caller ID. Did not answer

This appears to be one of a number of march of dimes numbers, all from the same call den in the Yonkers, NY area, beware also:

This MOD telemarketer from Yonkers, NY is becoming a real nuisance, bordering on harassment. I've lost count on how many numbers they use because they call so frequently always switching numbers.

Caller ID says "Yonkers  NY".  They leave no message.

I call back after hours (using *67 to block my number).  Their recorded message identifies them as the "March of Dimes".  They are sorry they missed me and will call again (how wonderful).  You are offered the option to press 1 for additional info.  That provides a message about what they do.  At the end of this is an option to be placed on their Do-Not-Call list (I never do this as it can make things worse).

I can't say that I appreciate them spoofing their caller ID.

I concur with "petard" on every one of the 914 numbers in his post (same post date as this post).  I have also received calls from the MoD from the following numbers:

This is likely a hired-gun telemarketing firm for calling on behalf of MoD.  If you wish to give, please, contact MoD directly.  That way the annoying telemarketer gets no cut of your donation.

I wonder if it is worth calling MoD directly and letting them know how obnoxious their hired firm is.

I briefly looked at the criticism section of MoD's wikipedia page.  That alone was enough for me to consider donating to a different charity.

When they called, my Caller ID identified them as "Healthy Babies."

I got a call from this number, Caller ID: March of Dimes, today. This household does not respond to any telephone solicitations or surveys, period, so I see this as a nuisance call.

Calls at all of the business day and evenings we no longer answer.
The remedy is simple . Your calls have a cost - not one dime more.
We were a donor by responding to a mailed request. But never again.

The MOD has also called me numerous times using different phone numbers with 914-294 prefixes.  I will NOT answer.

This is a new number from the aggressive & relentless telemarketer used by MOD. I'm sure they've used at least 15 numbers and have called several times a day for weeks. No way to block them when there's always a new number.
Will have to call MOD directly to put an end to this.

Sadly, there's no stopping them or many others. I simply don't answer my phone unless I.D. shows someone I want. Legitimate callers will leave a number, name and message with the option to call them back....saves time, angst and money, but wastes the telemarketer's and scammer's...small satisfaction, but that's all I have.
