- petardAnother one, just like the other ones, from that den of iniquity, march of dimes, all out of Yonkers, NY:

Oh what a joyous group!- Caller: march of dimes

- UndyThis must be a new number for the March of Dimes harassment campaign.
We've had to block 10 previous numbers of theirs.
I guess MOD has gone to the bad side - they're, by far, the most persistent annoyance on the phone around here right now (Georgia, USA).
Caller ID reads "Yonkers NY". - Bub17Another MOD telemarketing number from Yonkers NY. It seems they rotate in a new number on a daily basis so blocking it pointless.Their harassment is beyond absurd. They must have used 10 numbers at this point. I'd block (914) calls but can't since I do have many friends in the area code.

- Steve in MA| 1 replyCaller ID says "Yonkers NY". They leave no message.
I call back after hours (using *67 to block my number). Their recorded message identifies them as the "March of Dimes". They are sorry they missed me and will call again (how wonderful). You are offered the option to press 1 for additional info. That provides a message about what they do. At the end of this is an option to be placed on their Do-Not-Call list (I never do this as it can make things worse).
I can't say that I appreciate them spoofing their caller ID.
I have received calls from the MoD from the following numbers:

This is likely a hired-gun telemarketing firm for calling on behalf of MoD. If you wish to give, please, contact MoD directly. That way the annoying telemarketer gets no cut of your donation.
I wonder if it is worth calling MoD directly and letting them know how obnoxious their hired firm is.
I briefly looked at the criticism section of MoD's wikipedia page. That alone was enough for me to consider donating to a different charity.- Caller: March of Dimes
- JojoMost states have registry requirements for charities and their fundraisers. Simple search "charity search New York" shows results leading to https://www.charitiesnys.com/RegistrySearch/search_charities.jsp a search for March of Dimes shows a registered March of Dimes Foundation but doesn't list their fundraiser. The best states website that I've found when searching for fundraisers deceptively calling on behalf of charities is the Secretary of State Washington (sos wa). Simple search (sos wa March of Dimes) results March Of Dimes Foundation see https://www.sos.wa.gov/charities/search_detail.aspx?charity_id=2835 they also list all their other names used and as a bonus name the charity fundraiser who's doing the calling named Infocision Inc see https://www.sos.wa.gov/charities/search_detail_cfr.aspx?cfr_id=66 . You can demand placement on their "internal do not call list" plus add under all databases here http://www.bbb.org/akron/business-reviews/mar ... n-akron-oh-7034
This info has been posted under a couple 914-294 numbers. Do a 800notes search (914-249 MOD) or a search (MOD) to see a listing of numbers called from.- Caller: Infocision Inc, Infocision Management Inc

- Steve in MA replies to Steve in MAI got frustrated enough to call March of Dimes directly at 914 997 4488, a number that I obtained via http://www.whathealth.com/organizations/m/marchofdimes-us.html
I asked to speak with someone about telemarketing. The woman I spoke with seemed polite and professional. I responded by remaining cool and polite.
I first confirmed that this was MoD and not the telemarketer itself; she confirmed that I had reached MoD. I then asked the name of the telemarketing firm. She stated that it was "InfoCision" (which is exactly what "Jojo" reports in the next post). I then told her that I was receiving calls for weeks from 13 different numbers sometimes with spoofed caller ID's. I told her that her charity was coming off as annoying pests. The calls are meant to generate good will and obtain donations. They have had the opposite effect.
She offered to put me on a DNC list. I declined.
I suggested that they stick with a very small number of outgoing numbers. The calls should have a clear caller ID such as "March of Dimes". Once a number is blocked, they should stop calling. These 3 things would eliminate most of my frustrations.
She said she would pass this along and thanked me for the call. Her tone was not dismissive nor sarcastic. Hopefully, this will have an effect on their telemarketing. - TomMy Blocker is set to block the whole 914 area code
