IRS SCAM - do not call them back. If you're worried about any problems you might have with the IRS, contact them directly.

A foreign man called our home number and threatened us. He said he was from the u.s. Treasury department and to return his call. When I tried calling the number, there was no dial tone so I was unable to return his call.

Treasury Dept scam voice mail from foreign scum bag.

I called the company back to tell them to put me on their Do Not Call list.  He threatened that I would be arrested! Lol!

That was not a good idea.  You have now confirmed that you will return their calls.  You can expect more calls from them, as well as other scammers.

I just got a call from this number. Caller ID said Ossining, NY. The caller left a very garbled message. I could only understand a couple of words. "US Treasury" and "please cooperate with us." Funny thing - I work for an accountant and do taxes for a living. THE IRS/US TREASURY NEVER, EVER CALL TAXPAYERS. All contact is by regular US mail. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM. Ignore any calls from this number and report it to the proper authorities.

Call purportedly about a court proceeding for unpaid taxes - Pure scam (I'm a tax accountant) - there is so much wrong with this that anyone should know it is a pure scam - 1.  The IRS never calls taxpayers on an unsolicited basis.  2.  For something to get to the "court stage", the taxpayer would have received written information, audit notices, etc beforehand - if you have not had prior written correspondence from the IRS, this type of call would be bogus  3.  under privacy laws, this type of message could not be left - the IRS would have to identify/authenticate you before they could even discuss your situation - 4.  This is a recorded message - not an actual person - this would make no sense - if the IRS was calling, it would seem that once they got you to answer the phone, they would discuss it with you rather than asking you to call them back DUH! - just thought I'd pass this info on for the benefit of others

When I get two robo-calls in same day ---THE LAST AT 10:30PM --- from US Treasury scam -- it means I will find out where they are calling from in India - I recorded same robo-call again as I did in January 2016;  AGAIN, same mrobo-message from 914-373-7037 on 6/22/16 @10:30PM ****!!!!10:30PM ****!!! ""Unknown Name";  SCAM from US Treasury - they threaten you for a Federal Criminal Offense - they ask you to help them to help you;

called 3 times today/last call at 11:30 P.M.   Who should this be reported to?  It was the US Treasury call/IRS scam
threatening arrest if call was ignored,
