Caller ID shows this call is coming from the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I called it back to be removed from their calling list and got a recorded prompt to do so.

They have been harrassing me every week, sometimes several days a week, for several months now. Even if I answer the phone, they hang up on me. Extremely annoying.

Yonkers N is what comes up on my ID.  They keep calling several times a day and hang up on me also

Call them back and follow the prompts to remove your phone number.

914 513 2848- Yonkers NY- they call several times a day leave no message and then when I answer there is no one there.  Why do we get calls like this?

They call me several times a day.  I don't have long distance on my land-line, so I finally got fed up enough to call them on my cell, which does have long distance.  Got a recording that they called to solicit neigborhood volunteers.  OK.  But then the greeting stated that to be removed from their calling list to hit '1'.  I did and the call was over.  Great, I just GAVE them my cell number so they can harrass me on that number too.  I don't know what is going on, but this number does NOT sound very legit.

This was my response, maybe if lots of people responde the same it'll stop.

I have been on the reciving end of many phone calls, many many phone calls over many months, the number comes up as unlisted on the caller ID and the person on the other end just hangs up, I finally tracked the orgins of the call with the aid of local police and my phone company, and strongly suggest you put a stop to this, and no I will not tell you which phone number I am.

I'm started to receive this call like a week ago.  The first time was on Sunday at night.  Now is all the weekdays at the same time during the morning.  When I answer the phone to know who is, they hang me up.

I just got one too. Moon Township (near Pittsburgh) PA.

They call frequently and no one answers on the other end.  How do we stop this once and for all???

Call from "New York Call".  No one there.

Same thing for me in Dayton OH

They just called me and I have told them previously that the best time to call is about never.  How do you get your name off the list?  The next time they call I guess I have no choice but to be even ruder with them.

I get repeated calls from this number on my answering machine, and no one ever says anything, except once someone said "hello" and then hung up.  My husband and I are disabled, and it takes a lot of effort to get to the phone.  We're sick of these unwanted calls from people asking for money we don't have!

CALLS MY PHONE 1-2 TIMES EVERY DAY FOR 1 MONTH.  DOES NOT LEAVE MESSAGE ON ANSWERING MACHINE.  I SENT THE LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY ASKING TO BE DROPPED FROM THEIR CALL LIST. GOT THIS NOTE: "Thank you very much for submitting your request for assistance to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. A representative from the Society will be in touch with you. For assistance by phone, please call (800) 955-4572."

I just got my first call a few minutes ago from Yonkers, New York. (5:11 Pm, April 20, 2008). I have never seen this number before, nor do I know of anyone from Yonkers, New York. As soon as I said hello, the person on the other end hung up on me. I am becoming frustrated with these people.

Whomever called hung up as soon as I answered. The Caller ID said THANKYOUFRMLLS, which I translate as "Thank You From Leukemia Lymphoma Society".
