Call the number back and follow prompts to remove your phone number -- make sure you listen to the spiel after you ask for removal because there are a couple more steps.  Even then, it'll 30 days for removal.

These guys are PERSISTENT.

Keep calling us at 8 am on the nose and we sleep mornings and early afternoons.  The caller ID this time says THANKSFRMLLS, which I am sure is the Leukemia society.  Then they ask for a person who does not live here.  This organization is vey harrassing in their attempts to get money from people or whatever they are doing.  They have called every other day for 2 weeks

They just called again.  Actually they called everyday.  Very [***] people.

I've been getting these calls for months. Is there any way to stop these guys?  My cable phone company doesn't have a way to block an individual number.  They can't be legit and they certainly aren't a charity!

I've been getting calls from this number around 8 am every morning. No one is ever there when I answer. I'm getting very angry.

i keep getting these too with either no one there and they hang up or they say...HELLO HELLO then hang up or they actually leave a message on my answering machine that says... HELLO ANYONE THERE then hang up.  What's up with this?

They've called 4 times in the last few days.  From what I read on this site, the annoyance is just starting.

No message left, no one there when the phone is answered.

EXTREMELY Harrassing phone calls from this phone number - all hours of the day/night and several times a week for weeks - even if you answer they hang up!!!!

same problem as everyone else except they linger long enough to trigger my answering machine.  I've got 10 blank messages over the last week.
There has got to be a way to stop this kind of phone abuse by a charity

I called and followed the prompts to remove my number.  You are forced to listen to a story about their org.  Then it said they will remove my number with in 30 days.  How long does it take to remove a name from a database?

Same as the rest of you !   They call 9AM  . No message left !  ID says   THANKYOUFRMLLS  !   I am gonna call the 800 # !   I DID  donate to them in the past .  Mailed a ck.  no phone  contact in 2 years until now !  Lost a family member to leukemia a few years  ago !!

They just called with the caller ID reading 1-914-513-2848 THANKSFRMLLS.
This is the Luek & Lymph Soc and they are becoming a real pain in the butt. I never respond to their call hoping they will cease after awhile. This has been going on for months now.

Receive this constantly, have repeatedly called back the number to be removed from the list.  Does anyone know how to end this permanently?  Seems a shame, they are a society with a good cause, however have become such a nuisance that I will probably never give money to them.

They call once a day, never leave a message. When the calls started on April 8th, 2008, the caller id read: LEUK LYMPH SOC. I called the number and followed the prompts to remove my phone number from their list. The message said my phone number would be removed within 30 days.

They have called 2 times in the last 2 days.  One time came in unknown, 2nd time came in Thank You Frmlls

Contact the FCC. The caller will be fined for every call. http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/complaints.html  We got home from being away, and our Caller ID shows three calls from Yonkers, NY, 914-513-2848 in two days. What's curious is that it shows a call this morning and one this evening that we did not hear ring. Then our phone won't dial out, so I called the telephone company. You can also block the caller. Look in your telephone book or call your provider to learn how to block a call.

Thanks for the info, everyone. I was stumped about who "THANKYOUFRMLLS" was. I should have known it was a charity. I screen all my calls with caller ID/answering machine. My philosophy is: If it's important they'll leave a message. These folks never do.
