Donor Care Center: they call many times a day many times a week for many months.  I think I answered once and they wanted me to send 20 letters to my friends for some charity.  Now I don't answer

Calls are constant and we are tired of their harrassment.  We are on the "do not call list" and still the calls come in at all times starting the early morning.  Several a day is very annoying and I am considering calling the state attorney general.

2-4 times a day on caller ID "Donor Care Center"  No one on the line....very annoying, how do I make it stop????

Well first of all, the name.  Not a care center at all, but a commercial telemarketing firm hired by March of Dimes apparently.  This one is below the radar, but 99.9% of these are bogus rackets, keeping .90 of every dollar they collect.  They refused to answer direct questions about their business, I choose to ignore them.

I have been receiving calls from (202) 652-4595 with caller id Donor Care Center.  They hang up after three rings and avoid my answering machine.

I just got this call from Global Crossing Local services, inc, NY.
No message left. I did a reverse look up to get the company name.

I haven't given to charities recently because I can no longer afford it. I have never given to march of dimes. In the past I have given to many animal welfare charities. So I'm not fitting in with the March of Dimes theory.

I just saw on another site that this was a collection agency??

answer and ask them to put you on the do not call list non profits do not apply to the national do not call list

donor care is a call center that non profits hire to raise volunteers they do no keep 99.9 percent    you complain about march of dimes cancer society lls and others until you need them then you ask why did they not help me if you do not answer they will call back just say put me on you do not call list it is that easy !!!!! you can look at any web site for a non profit it will tell you the percent and believe me it is not 99.9 it only takes a few seconds out of you time to listen and then check it out

We have gotten at least 8 calls from this number 1-914-290-6339, March of Dimes Donor Care Center, West Harrison, NY.  We have opt out for further calls each time and they continue to call.  Last evening I spoke with a representative who asked if I would be willing to pass out envelopes in my neighborhood.  I replied with "I have requested that you not call several time, he hung up on me.

ususally i receive calls from other numbers, but i work at a callcenter and unfortuately we are computerized and when you pick up the phone to say hello the call goes back into the computer system to be called back some other time automatically.  callcenters do not know who is on the dnc list...you would have to tell them to add you to the dnc list and they will happily do that for you.  the reason callcenters do not leave messages...i don't understand it either, but companies call on behalf of different charitable organizations.  callcenters are hired to call on behalf of because it is more cost efficient to reach the public...the cost would be too great for organizations which would cut some of the services provided...and callcenters create jobs--i work at a callcenter, but i am still working and i thank God.
