The person said he was calling from Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) and asked my Social Security Number (SSN) to discuss further.  I told him I do not give SSNs to incoming calls.  He mis-spelled my first and last name repeatedly. He suggested me to call 800-939-6631 which is TWC no.

This happened to me as well.  I called TWC because I have not recieved benefits but still can not get in but I'm scared to give my SS number to someone who called and asked for it. What should we do?

Hi...I do believe this is a legit number. I called TWC w/ a claim and the lady called me back next day from 915-832-6595.

They were aggressive asking questions about my unemployment and asked for my ssn. They knew a lot of information

Main number coming from TWC  El Paso Tx (915) 832-6400 , Ms Lopez (915) 832-6525 left a voicemail yesterday regarding my employment benefits... when I called back this morning a guy answered (couldn't make out his name) asked for my social, address , and dob .. they only need the last 4 of your social to confirm
