I received an email with a job offer from a Michael Spencer with this number He states that he lives in Canada and is moving to the States to start a business.

I received the same call. Have you found anything out?

He obtained my information off of an online resume............he will send you a USPS money order ...IT IS FRAUDULANT..... take it to the post office for the postal inspector.........DO NOT RETURN ANY OF YOUR money to him........SCAM ARTIST!.............he uses a deceased person as the sender....look at all the addresses he uses........mailed from.......money order from........where he is..........DON'T FALL FOR HIS BS

He "Michael Osborne" emailed and said he was forwarded my resume from a recruiter.. 1st of all.. a recruiter would want the commsision and you would need to pass a background check AND do so much as come in for an interview!! 2nd... he was "in Canada" and needs a personal assistant to help him "set up an office" while he is there. YEAH RIGHT! SCAM SCAM SCAM.. PLEASE don't fall for this joker!!

I received an e mail with a job offer from a Michael Osbourne today. and have been informed that this is a scam.  He received my information from CareerBuilders.com website.  Please look into this

I also recieved an email from a "michael osbourne" with a job offer after recieving my info also from career builder. This is definitely a scam!

Oh my I can't believe I was falling for this!  I know it was a scam when he sent the 2nd email about a cashiers check, and wanting my bank info.

This is the third email I received from him saying he needs my help paying the IT people. Dude Americans aren't as [***] ignorant as u think. So funny that he has a white name but happens to be nigerian and his fake vcm is so unprofessional and only says his first name. Wow. I will be reporting to the secret service.

This is just to let you know that I have sent over your detail to my financier and you should be getting a check in the mail towards the end of the week starting monday.

Also, I will like you to start looking for the office space as soon as possible. It should be in a serviced buiding with janitorial and other services inclusive, with an approximate area of about 1500 square footage of space. The monthly rent should be approximately $3000 give or take few hundreds and the office should be able to fit 6 personnels in an open office plan with space left for two closed offices and a conference room.

I will be ariving the states during the lastweek in November and will be glad if its possible for you to give me a tour. However, before my arrival I will make arrangement for the lease to be signed once you get a suitable office space. Also, by then the IT people should have arrived from Mexico with all necessary equipment they are bringing over to start setting up the server, you will be assisting in getting them settled in.

Once the check arrives nextweek I will give you details on how you will get the funds sent to the IT people after you must have taken out part of your November retainer. In the meantime if you have any question feel free to send me an email and I will respond as required.

I am currently in europe and will be back in Canada tomorrow. I  will give you a call on Monday and we can discuss more about the job and any other requirements by then. Speak to you soon.

I have read it, and KNEW RIGHT AWAY that is was not legit!!
COME ON PPL! no legit job offer comes like this! EVER!
..i start to wonder if i have beed a good enough mom, and thought my kid well enough...how could she fall for this?!
i told her it MUST be a scam, now she is mad at me...

I too received an e-mail from "Michael Osbourne" offering me the job as his Personal Assistant.  After doing my research, which I'm pretty good at, I also called the international office to check on him, they have no record of him working for their company.  Hope no one falls for this.

It is a scam.  Please don't fall for it.

You won't believe this.  I just received a phone call from "Michael Osboourne" wanting to know if I had secured office space for him here in TX that he would forward me a cashier's check to retain my services and also a deposit on the office space.  I'm just waiting for the cashier's check so I can either take it to the bank it is drawn from or the post office in hopes that they can track down the purchaser of the cashier's check, if it is indeed a real check.

Has he called you yet.  I just received a phone call from him.

I have received the same offer for employment here in the Indianapolis area.  He also called me to see if I had secured office space.  I am waiting on the cashiers check as well.  The phone number is a land line according to Intellius.  I knew something was wrong with the offer.  Just wondering who to call to report him.
