Received a voice mail from this number indicating that the message was to be used for the IRS. That "they" had received a legal notice for (followed by something I couldn't understand) and that I or my lawyer should call immediately to avoid legal action. Failure to call will result in legal consequences, blah, blah, blah. Rest assured this is a scam. First of all, the IRS will send notice via regular email. Secondly, they don't threaten you via voice mail. They would identify themselves, indicate what it is about (unless they aren't sure who they called) and generally have a much less threatening attitude. I have dealt with the IRS on many occasions for various reasons and public relations is important to them. Now, if you owe something, ignore them, or not work something out with them, then they just take legal action. Don't bother talking with these people.
