I have received a call every day from this number and finally today i get a voice mail saying that i must call them back or ill be arrested. so i called back asked for my name and number and then hung up on me. Then i called back again and they asked me if i have a lawyer. i asked why do i need one then they gave me a attitude and told me in the next 45 minutes the cops are coming to arrest me and hung up. they are calling from California and I'm in NY so why are these pricks calling me from somewhere else! also they speak broken English.

This number keeps calling me. I called back the number was busy the first two times I called. When he finally answered he began to curse me telling me that "you have to believe this S--t. A real professional.

They called me this morning as well around 7:30am said the same bs about some ch 18 47 fraud bs...then called me again aroun 4pm saying the same, like "I could be detained for up to 6months lol

In response to Dinah, stravis, Erin, Sean, etc....  I received a call a few days ago from 916-469-8689, alleged from Dept. of Legal Affairs. I did not respond because I presumed it was another scam.   I checked the reverse directory and the phone number is valid, supposedly a corporate number in the Sacramento, CA. central city area but could not find out who the owner is.  I was told that in accordance with Sect. 18, Ch. 47 of US Code, I was in violation and if I did not return the call immediately I would be in violation of Sect. 211B and would be picked up by police and detained in criminal custody for 72 hours. I checked the codes as well but don't remember any fraud on my part. Sect. 211B doesn't exist as far as I could tell.  I went to the Citrus Heights, CA. Police Department and was informed they were aware of the scam and gave me paperwork to report it to the Federal Trade Commission.  Don't get all hot and bothered, just report it to the FTC.

i received a message with threats first o f all find. u something safe to do.this. world is sad gettin people number off internet ain't nothing safe it really sad. get ya 12 ready talking by arresting me get a life
