I left out dates. Yesterday 11/19 was first day, and today 11/20 was the second day I spoke with them.

They called saying I had an unpaid loan yesterday, 11/19. Today they called and said they had a warrant
on my Soc. Sec. number.

Just got a message from a Paul Smith saying. The I was going to court. Could not understand the rest of what he was saying.

On November the 19th I received a voice mail from this number.a man calling himself john smith who had a strong Indian accent said to call him back or I would be in big trouble.i didn't understand half of what he said except the last part of his message.this was the number 916-554-8553.

I got a similar call about a month ago. This person, Rudy, after I asked for a verifiable phone number and badge number, argued with me that she is unable to do so. My mother worked for The L.A.C courts and gave it, with no problem, upon request. They got me thus far for $300. Bones. They are using a magic Jack system and only prefer money paks as payment bc it is untraceable. Thanks guys for really opening my eyes to this. So Rudy, I hope your reading this bc Now I am ready to fight.

you worthless peice of scum that was wiped on your Mother's ass. Go back to India and scam your own people. People like you is what gives the immigrants coming here to seek a legal life as bad rap...I have notified my local authorities, and gave them a recording of your so-called threats. There is no warrant out for me or anyone else to whom you are trying to scam. Also, FBI and ICE along with the State Attorneys Office has a copy of your recording. Got a call from some man had a hard time understanding what he was talking about. said if i did not pay him a police officer would be at my door in 45 mins

Got a call today could not understand what he was saying had a accent. Saying I needed to call him back but I not he he was fro real he would not talk so fast.

I also received voice message from telephone number: 9165548553 claiming that I had a warrant out for my arrest and an outstanding balance of 1500. I called the phone number back and spoke with a young lady representing Rudy/David Marshall. I asked the young women to forward me written documentation of these charges as proof.

Some foreign speaking female, posting a threat about having a warrant for my arrest if I don't call them back today they will have me arrested, talked so fast that I didn't get all of the conversation.

Received a call from the above number, some foreign national making threats about I am going to Jail if I didn't call them back, called my cell phone number, not the first time these people have threaten to come out to my job and arrest me , always from a number that where if you did call them back you won't get the same person, sometime a robotic voice on the lines, this is Karen Bently, etc. and when you check the number it always comes back unavailable. They target senior citizens a lot.

Receive these calls usually weekly. This is a business line with 16 lines coming into this office. Its amusing really, because its automated, it wont ring to my phone it goes straight to my voicemail somehow...
TOTAL [***].... and really wasting my time deleting voicemails.

Financial scam saying you owe money , pay or be arrested . Phone ID showed "RUDY MONTOYA" , voice was automated electrical (computer generated voice) this time and not east indian.

Same as most comments below, except he told me he was from the IRS. Had too much personal info. and initially scared the crap out of me. local sheriff and police chose to do nothing. Feel like I should have some recourse but don't know who else to turn to. Its obnoxious what these scammers do and it makes me sick that no one takes it as serious as the person who is threatened.

I received a call today, 7/10/15, from this number (916-554-8553). When I answered, there was a message that said I owed the IRS and a warrant had been issued for my arrest.  I immediately called the number back, after the message ended, and I got a recording, with an Indian accent, that said it was officer David Marshall and to leave a detailed message with my name, address and information.  The entire thing smelled fishy from the beginning, so I immediately googled the phone number and Officer David Marshall.  I found the information here and added my post.  This is definitely some kind of fraud/extortion attempt.

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

I received a call from 1-916-554-8553, which appeared as RUDY MONTOYA on caller ID, who left a message without identifying who was being called, on my home telephone number stating that "The matter was going to go to federal claims court or result in an arrest if a response was not received."  Due to the fact that I did not know who he was attempting to contact, I called the number back three times from my home telephone number, six times from my separate cell telephone number, and twice from my mother's cell telephone number, but the only information was the following recorded message:

"This is Officer David Marshall.  I am away from my desk. Leave your name, number, and brief message."

After repeated attempts, no one will return my call.  This is apparently some type of scam attempting to threaten someone with arrest if a response is not received.

I think this call and number is going directly to my attorney.

I have had these types of calls before and they were not even for me or my family!!!!

Claimed they were from the irs. I asked them why the hell they were calling me when i only got this number two days ago and the irs is not efficient enough to track me that quick. They hung up. Called back asked them why they were calling. They hung up. Called again went straight to voicemail for some pos named "Dave Marshal". Left a few derogatory messages. My advice is to call them as often as possible and tie up the lines.
