No ones leaves a message when the answering machine picks up.
Checked phone lookup and the call originates from New York.

Called at 2007-09-28 14:33:58 PDT. No message left.

Called at 2007-09-29. No message left.  Caller ID: unavailable.

Called left no message, like a lot of others that call these days with no info and leave no messages.

Called and left no message,

answered, no one there .. no voice, nothing.

Received this call on October 1, 2007 from the American Lung Association wanting me to solicit donations from my neighbors through a mailing campaign.

Called at around 5:46PM, answered, heard someone hang up immediately.

They called again this morning .. this time someone there.  As someone else dexcribed, they are soliciting for a Lung Cancer charity, asking you to mail requests for donations to neighbors.

I get a call everyday. Even on Sundays. They never leave a message.

I get this call everyday at different times of day and night.  I never answer a number I do not recognize.  Never leaves a message.  I want this to stop!

Called at 2007-10-02 14:51:00 PDT. No message left.

917-210-0241 calls everyday at various times.  Caller ID says "out of area". It's been going on for a month now.  when I pick up, no one answers.  When answering machine picks up, no message.  I called Verizon and they called the number. It's the American Lung Association and Verizon told them to put my number on their "Do not call registry". It may take 30 days to kick in but at least it will stop.  Verizon says you can just call back the number and even though it's a nonprofit organization, they have to put you on their "do not call registry" if you request it.  This seems to be the only way to stop the calls via Verizon.

(917) 210-0241 has been calling me twice everyday for the last week or two.  No messages left.  Filed a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry since my number is on there.  I urge everybody to file a complaint as well.  Visit www.donotcall.gov to file a complaint.

917-210-0241 called today at 9:00am. Caller ID said American Lung, we did not
answer and they did not leave a message.  I put the number on the call screening service we have with Comcast, which tells them we are not accepting calls from that number. One less time the phone will ring.  Thank God.

Call every day. NO message.

Call the number, follow the prompts and they say they will remove you from their calling list (in 30 days!).

we have been receiving calls 2 to 3 times a week for months (possibly a year) they ask for a certain person, whom we don't know. they gave us an 866 number to call and i called and told them we want them to stop and take our number off the list.  we have lived here for 57 years and had the same number since Verizon took over from Bell telephone company.  what's the deal??? don't they have to quit calling?I will report them as harrassing us....................

According to the FAQs on the Pennsylvania do not call website, calls from tax-exempt charitable organizations are exceptions to this service.

Calls every morning at 8:30 AM. After machine picks up, we get a very annoying  beep tone that goes on forever unless we are there to stop it.
