caller asked for my wife by name. I said she wasn't here, could I help them? They said they'd call back later. I asked if we'd forgotten to pay one of the credit cards. They said no, they'd call back later. So far we haven't heard back from them.

caller asked for me by first name my husband said i was not here since we did not know the number.  My husband asked if he could take a message and the lady hung up.

This is a telemarketing call to HSBC customers - they have a recorded response if you call the number back - you can thank HSBC

I found this number on my caller ID and so I called it back.  Yes it is associated with HSBC and it gives you the option of removing your number from their call list.......of course they said it could take up to 60 days.....we'll see what happens.
