got another call from them, no message left

I have received calls from this number almost every day for about 2 weeks. I finally answered the phone and they said it was from an online survey i participated in (I have not given my number out). When I asked to have my number removed from their list they hung up on me.

The phone call came early in the morning west coast time and after I answered the phone, the caller stated that it was from an online survey I participated in (I had not given my number out for a phone survey). When I told them I never completed an online survey the asian male sounding voice went silent. I hung up the phone. After doing some online research to determine the origin of the 917 area code, I discovered the call came from the New York city area.

Call received from this number ((917) 383-0084) but I didn't answer since I didn't recognize the number.  No message left either.
