Subjects stated that i was approved for a free goverment grant.  Subjects stated that i had to deposit 212 usd to carlos fan andres out of florida through money gram.  I called back and now they keep saying i have to pay other fees.

Callers said I was approved for a federal government loan worth $6,500.

A stephanie williams said I was approved for a grant of 6,000 but had to deposit 250 dollars first. Yeah right! I immediately hung up

They say they are with the Federal Reserve Bank, so i googled the bank and they're numbers dont even have the same area code. They are wanting you to send them money to receive a loan, but once you send the first amount they'll keep asking for you to keep sending money.

Just got off the phone with them,  I knew it was a scam from the start, but let him make his pitch just for laughs.  He told me I was randomly selected for a government grant for $6,700.   I was told to call 9173832772 for all the details (I havent and will not call).

Same as above.  I phoned back twice to tell them they are going straight to hell for robbing people.

Same thing I was called from a lady w/heavy accent that told me I won a federal grant of 6,700. & to pick it up at walmart.  I believed her at first cuz I asked how much I gotta pay n she said nothing.  Then she said 250. to pay the IRS of my State, that's when I started asking questions, then she put her supervisor on the phone & he said his name was Mark Gordon, talking really fast & also w/a heavy accent.  I asked him to tell me a website that I could go to and he gave me Obama.com or something like that & I saw nothing of them giving free grants as random prizes away.  They are giving free personal grants away, however u have to apply/qualify for the free personal grant...  I called them back n acted like I was the FBI, scared the [***] out of them I think???    Don't be fooled by them & give them n e $....  Another # they called from was 646-213-1857.  How do they even get people's cell phone #'s??? I have an Obama phone that is free & free minutes talk n text so how did they get my phone #????   Spooky!!!

So u paid the 212. ???  If u did report it to www.tigta.com that is the federal place & maybe they might re-imburse u the money u lost...  Good Luck

Common scam.  Ignore and block the calls.

I received two calls, one from 917-383-2772 and another from 206-494-9710.  I told her if it was a grant from the government that I never had to pay back then take the $250 out of the $7,000 I was selected to recieve, HA!!! Of course they can't do that! How are these people still getting away with this? I gave her a good ol fashioned southern cussin but these people really need to be stopped! There are gullable people out there, poor and desperate, payin these a$$holes the only money they have and getting robbed and lied too. It needs to be stopped.

I just got off the phone with a lady with a heavy accent. She told me that I have been approved for a government grant of 6700 dollars I didn't have to pay it back .she said it was a once in a lifetime deal.lol she said to call the number 9173832772 talk to a Tiffany welliem and she would give me the details on how to pick it up from the pharmacy. I'm not calling them back. They had all my info my phone number, my address, my city and state. If they get my account  number and steel from me they are going to wish they never called me

I would not like anymore calls from this number I know it's a scam and it shouldn't be allowed.

It's a scam and it isn't "allowed". But they're crooks from India or Pakistan so why should they care about US laws? If you don't want any more calls from this number, invest in a call blocker.

Same heavy accent lady called me you are approved for a 6,700 grant you don't have to pay back . Call back in 10 min to speak with a Danny McWhite . And pick up at CVS pharmacy  . Get real I mean really who the hell picks up grant money at CVS first off second off I told her I wanted to speak with someone who speaks fluent and understandable english. When she refused I told her I was reporting this number to the police I'm about sick of [***] calls ppl trying to scam ppl. I'm a 4th yr law student ain't got time for that [***].  However they had my name number and address not cool
