- ReceptionistCall showed up as "XO" along with the 917 #. I have to answer and suspected it would be a robocall. It was. It was "John" - the same guy who voiced the Medical Alert scam that targeted the elderly. It's a recording so you can't yell at him. He went onto his spiel that I or someone in my household (and this is an office) made an inquiry to their home security system. I would've pressed 1 to get a live person and yell at them but didn't have time so pressed 2 which is supposed to have your number removed. Of course it won't. If they don't even display their company name then they won't play by any rules. No doubt it's an offshore company targeting those who live in the US. Wish there was a better way for offices to block those calls.
