The person calling has a Puertorrican Spanish accent. He will state his name and ID himself as an AT&T Fraud Department investigator. His Spanish is deficient (1st red flag). He will tell you that he is investigating international calls that have been made on your phone (2d red flad, since I have the phone in my property) and that current charges are $$$$. To avoid this, he needs you to verify personal identifying info, as your Social security, full name, etc. (3d flag, AT&T will not EVER ASK this). He will try to intimidate you saying your phone will be disconnected and will face monetary consequences as additional charges. HANG UP and REPORT THIS FRAUD! I have reported him to AT&T customer service and other instances. He is a FRAUD, a SCAM! Do NOT give any personal information. Beware!!!

trying to collect funds in behalf marietta power on april 2,2013 around 1:30 pm

Calls on behalf of reliant energy. Demands payment of $1,970 through Western Union or electricity will be shut off.

This number has called our business for a credit card payment. DO NOT provide his psycho with ANY information!! its a SCAM!!!

Call came in around 12:30pm - at a time when we are extremely busy.
Name appears on Caller ID as Luis Almonte.
He claims he is with the power company and that we have not paid our bill.
If funds are not paid by credit card, the power will be cut off immediately.
My store manager informed him that she knew him to be a scammer and that we would be turning his name and number into the police. He said we were welcome to come by the office and pay. Then hung up.

He called me saying he was from the "Electric Company" I asked him which one and he just replied the Electric company. Right then I knew it was a fraud. He then had the nerve to call me back and say he wasn't playing that he was going to cut off my electricity. I told him go for it.

I would've screamed "HEY YOU GUYYYYYYS!"
