I've not applied for a personal loan that is ... $10,000 worth.

They called two days in a row. We just fif FAfSA and now were getting these calls???? I know the site we went to was correct cuz we got replies and links to other college things. Not sure how they got into the no they want us to call they say is Washington.... An an ex govt employee i dont think they would have this man call us who cant speak english. Sounds like the same guy asking for money cuz his wife with 28 kids is stuck in Dubai  cuz the govt hates them.... Ill post when i call the other number

received the call today, telling me there is a warrant against me and I should call officer michael something, even gave a badge number.  Since I have not been in NY for a long time, realized that it is some kind of a scam.  This was as a voicemail since I had not answer the call.
Please be very careful with these calls out of nowhere

they call me everyday they are a scam

I have gotten similar calls from other numbers before, and now this one (I guess they had to use a different number since I started putting the others on a reject list on my cell phone...). There have been times they call me threatening me with legal action due to a loan that I haven't made payments on (which is bogus, because the only loan that I currently have is a student loan and it isn't through one of these little fly-by-night places)...then other times they are calling telling me that I qualify for a loan up to a certain amount of money (coincidentally, it sounds almost like the exact same man every time). There have been times I will actually call Achmed back, and I tell him that I googled the info that is associated with the phone number that I have and tell him what I found....once he said '[***] don't call me anymore...' and I replied with 'NO! MF....you called me...and if you do it again I will contact the FBI, DEA (they have an extortion hotline), my state attorney general's office (which I have done at least 3 times already), and the local police department. Try me'....and he hangs up....must admit, since I started blocking these numbers, my cell phone has been a lonely place.....LMAO.
