I got a recorded message claiming to be from the IRS.  The man spoke with an Indian accent, and told me that I was the subject of a serious lawsuit, and my SS# would be subject to state investigation.  Needless to say, yet another scam.

I just got a call - recorded message from the IRS. The man spoke with an Indian accent as well. What was funny about this message is that it stated "This message is for you". Not my name or anything specific about me. Very generic but that it is subject to a serious lawsuit and my SS# would be subject to state investigation.

Had the same thing , I will not return there call

Same call, my phone says they are in New York, we need to find out who and where they are and turn them into the authorities

So called it back multiple time and goes to voice mail

The guy called three times yesterday, starting at 6am. The message he left was the same as above. Indoan sounding man who claimed to be "Nick from the IRS Crime Division" and they were going to investigate me for fraudulently using my SSN. I answered the third call and informed him: 1. It's illegal to call that early 2. The IRS clearly states on their website that they mail, not call. 3. The IRS wouldn't use a call phone to make any call and 4. The IRS isn't the branch of government that investigates Social Security fraud. He replied with a swear word and I hung up.

I just received the same call, didn't realize my name was changed to "You."  I will not return their call.

Definitely a scam! I received 3 voice mails from this guy! Who can we notify of this scam??

I GOT THE SAME CALL. I CALLED BACK FROM A WORK PHONE CLAIMING TO BE FROM THE LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT. HE HUNG UP ON ME.

Received same call, Indian accent man claiming IRS is suing me. He became irate when I said I didn't have a pen to write the case # and asked to call him back. He then
said he was "sending cops to my house to arrest me!" What a pleasant phone call.
   I called NYC PD @ 917-492-7100 and she said they were aware and it's being investigated. The number of this fake is a cell number 917-503-7680 and the voice mail states, this is Internal Revenue Service, Eric Foster. Hope the "cops" go arrest him for fraud and making threats.
Odd thing was the NYPD didn't want any info

Received a the same call! At first was worried but seeing everyone Is getting the same message I know it's a scam!

Same as above, why can't they get these people, very, very, annoying and criminal.
