Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. - julieRecieved the same call from this #. Thought it was a scam! i beleve the government will always contact you with in written form, not a random call!
- Caller: US treasury scammer
- josh rosenbergi got a call from my x that the tax crime investigation has a warrant out for my arrest, i was terrified, but it didn't make any sense because i haven't received any legal letters, so i made a Google search on this number that they called me from 917-563-9659, and sure enough my assumptions were right its a big scam!!, so guys keep calm, just report it to the local police dept if they start stalking you,
- Caller: neal forster
- Call type: Debt collector
- JohnI got a call from this number a few minutes ago. A guy named Michael Delgardo (IRS Badge # 1096) at an address
of 201 Varick St, RM 1050, New York, NY 10014 told me that they sent to my home address half a year ago a document on my back tax. He threatened me that he would send an officer to arrest me if this case cannot be resolved quickly. When I asked for more informaiton about the case, he said that I need to talk to his manager, which I did. A guy named Chester gave me this number and then threatened that in 30 minutes if I cannot pay a back tax of $1700+ back tax a police officer would arrest me and put me in a jail for 3.5 years or so. When I tried to get more info about this case, this guy basically lost his patience and kept stopping me from speaking. When I said that I would need to my wife and find out more information, he kind of pissed off and cut off the line. I have reported this case to TIGTA. In my case, the speakers sound more from Latin American.
So please watch out for this scam! Do not provide them any info. - TriciaHe gets points for persistence but he US Treasury doesn't make calls like this and it doesn't have "officers" as this call implies. I'm getting pretty tired of these type of calls--they must be making them making them money or they wouldn't bother.
- Jack| 1 replyThe guy who had Indian accent and said he is from US treasury, and he said I had tax issues,

- Hey ThereReally Stupid people they are... I got the call.. they told me they sent the package 2 times... I asked for the tracking numbers... they gave me some random numbers.. which do not match the typical UPS tracking... and don't even remember getting any document from the feds or the gov.. ever.. coming through ups.. ever.. always USPS. So I asked about the case... and the specifics.. he could not tell me what the "violation" was... and they started CURSING AT ME for asking so many questions... literally CURSING...
Ridiculous...- Caller: 917-563-9659
- help yourselfIf you read this page you knew they are scam already. Please tell them you have no credit card, ask their address and bank info for online Ach. Or as wire, then report to the bank fraud department. We are smarter than them!
- leesame thing happened to me this morning. I ask guy's name, he said he is "Brad William" (a fake name), call from NY.
- Minneapolis ResidentCall from New York, NY. A man with an Indian (dot not feather) accent - boiler room noise behind - claimed to be "Officer Eric Foster of the crime investigation department. This call is regarding a case that has been filed against your name and your physical address is kept under federal investigation." He gave a case number and said, "I want you to call me back on the urgent basis." Nice English. Crap like this is why I never answer the phone unless I recognize the number and caller.
He's been at this on this same number since at least December 5. Why does it take so long to get these scammers cut off from using the number?- Caller: Indian Scammers International >:(
- YZThis evening, a Miel Fofter called with this number, 917 563 9659, and said he was from a Dental Lab. I received another a call before this one with the exact area code from Peter Smith. Both have case numbers and say that I'm being investigated. I think these calls are being monitored and they adapt to your circumstances since my occupation is within that career range. Are these calls serious scams or just pranks?
