- Roy OshiroThis is the number for a supposed individual named Randy Chittenden. He is a fraud and con-artist! He runs a scam on Craigslist for an apartment in SOHO, New York. He requests a security deposit and half the rent for an apartment that does not exist. He request payment to an individual in London via Western Union.
He later claims that there was a fire at his London office and needs the balance of the money as an emergency. It's all a fraud. - Tom| 4 repliesThank you so much, roy! This guy tried to scam me too - he claimed he had a mansion in Florida and he will rent it out for very cheap - just give him half of the money in cash first...

Thanks for all who submitted their warnings about scammers. I've become wary of sites such as this & don't ever want to loose my money. It must make it very difficult for those honest people who want to make a living through genuine postings.
sydguy - omgYup me too, thank goodness I googled his number! Thanks guys!!!!

- honest folks fdrom Iowa replies to Teacher from FloridaWe just got scamed this week. After trying PayPal we sent whole amount via Western Union. It was for a Jean Davis. This website indicates he has been working this scam for some time. Taking money via Wire transmission is wire fraud. Can and shouold be prosecuted!
- Phyllis| 1 replyWell, I'll add to the "I've been scammed list!" - using this phone #
It relates to an apt listed on Craigslist in Manhattan - 228 East 85th Street, Apt 22c. The contact was m_frank51@yahoo.com, and the name of the company was "Lazar Robert Vacation Apartment Rental". I sent a security deposit of $500 and half the rent for 3 nights to a lady in the UK, named Melisa Thompson.
I began to suspect something when they asked for the rest of the money, in a very poorly worded email - as follows:
"We recieved a confirmation from our head office that your funds have been recieved.
I have just been notify from our haed office that all client who wants to book should pay in full due to some official problem...
Some new innovation came up to further satisfy our costumers.
Please pay the balance to our head office with same informaton so they can issue your receipt of payment.
I am sorry for the complication.
Please update me asap. “
The only good thing about it is, at least I didn't turn up in NYC looking for my apt and have nowhere to stay!!!!- Caller: Lazar Robert
- MEMEME978-598-7253 is FINN's new #... Stay away from here. (trying to rent in NYC)
