Same here, just woke up this morning and found the same -you're the australia's winner of the day- message. I'm with optus and irk where the help did I give my number but thus is just anothe annoying scam I get along with the calls from Indian guy telling me my computer has virus ... Friking tired of thus sh*t.

Received a message stating "Congratulations! You are Australia's WINNER OF THE DAY! Go to http://www.apple.au.mobilegiveawayinsanity.com to claim your prize. Must claim within 24hrs.
Obviously a scam, but how did they get my phone number? I'm with Telstra. Cheers, Bob Malinovski

Yes i got same msg. re äust's winner of the day. i feel and reckon it is just another scam. Yet AGAIN. will just delete and ignore it.

The phone number comes back to a Scranton, PA address. A quick Google finds S. Matthew Arcus as CEO & President of:

The contact e-mail addresses come back to a customer number at a customer privacy proxy company. Brings a tear to my eye that they may want to protect themselves from public scrutiny. Snort!

Linda, we use optus as well and it's a brand new number NOT used for anything else, so what the hell is Optus doing to its customers passing on mobile numbers?  I'm with you, we should report it.

Me too, I got the same message. I must have missed it on my phone. Received it on the 19th May.

this is a scam  they got my # while in Indonesia so i suspect it all originates from that country.
