Call came from New York on 10-17-09 at 09:38 hours CDT, My Lovely and Gracious made the mistake of picking it up too fast, and it was American Lung.

Our caller ID said Unknown Name, but it was American Lung. I reported previously on the call from the day before from American Lung. That number is 917-793-5555.

hang up call.  Says New York, NY.

I just called the National Headquarters of the American Lung Association and was given this number to call (715)-425-8390 regarding my complaint. I called it and spoke with a person who said they had received other complaints about this problem and that they are investigating it. They apologized and took my name and phone number and promised to have it removed from their call list within 24 hours (which remains to be seen). Best of luck folks.

Typical stupid automated call.  I'm not patient enough to wait until their computer can connect me to a person. A bit annoying after awhile.

Repeated calls from 917-793-5557 all hours of the day.  This is from the American Lung association.  I have another of their numbers blocked, 917-793-5555 due to similar frequent calls.  Hard to keep up with them as they rotate numbers.

This is not only a scam, but worse, these losers are using the identity of a real charity -- the American Lung Association -- to get around the Do Not Call Registery. They are NOT the American Lung Association. They will call you under all these numbers (and soon to be others), so ignore them, or make the caller's life difficult by abusing them on the phone:  917-793-5553, 917-793-5555, 917-793-5557, 917-210-4612, 917-210-4615.

As many complaints above, morning, noon or night, repeatedly calling.  It's been at least 2 weeks now.  We ignore the call.  Will it ever end?  Perhaps it's time to contact American Lung in writing and complain....?
