- Sue| 2 repliesHave gotten 2 calls from this number today, spaced about 4 hours apart. I didn't recognize the number, so I didn't pick up. However, a friend I work with has also gotten a bunch of calls from some company using this number, claiming to be a payday lender that she owes money to (she doesn't), and claiming they were going to have her arrested, etc. I helped her get rid of them.
IF YOU DON'T OWE MONEY TO ANY PAYDAY LENDER, DON'T LET THESE PEOPLE FRIGHTEN YOU INTO PAYING SOMETHING YOU DON'T OWE WITH THEIR THREATS. It is common practice for them to buy a phone number list and just start calling random people, and make the following threats:
*you owe an outrageous sum for a payday loan you took out 2 months (or 6 months or a year, etc) ago
*you will be arrested if you don't pay
*they are "downloading you" or "downloading affadavits for your arrest"
*they are sending the police to your workplace at 2 pm (or 1800 hours or 3 pm, etc) to arrest you
*they are going to call your supervisor at your workplace
DON'T LET THEM SCARE YOU. If they demand you pay, turn right around and demand that they show proof that you owe them money. Ask them for the following, and it will stop them cold:
*ask for the name of the payday lender, address, phone number, and your account number
*ask them to confirm your bank account information (they won't be able to - and if for some reason they have that info, you need to close your bank account immediately)
*ask them for a copy of the contract you signed to take out the loan (any LEGAL payday lender will have this - if they say it was done online and there's no contract, tell them NO DEAL)
*when they threaten to have you arrested, take you to court, etc - call their bluff. If you don't owe a payday loan, they will have a hard time taking you to court over it. And you cannot be arrested for defaulting on a loan - we don't have debtor's prisons anymore!
I hope this helps someone else deal with these scumbags.- Caller: Unknown
- KatDidn't recognize this number so I didn't answer. No message was left.
- bertTHESE PEOPLE DEFENITLEY ARE SCUMBAGS, THEY HARRASS YOU AT WORK THEY CALL YOU ON YOUR CELL PHONE, NOT ONLY THAT, THEY DO TELL YOU THEY ARE GOING TO SEND SOMEONE TO ARREST YOU AT YOUR HOME OR WORK PLACE, THATS A NON STOP.
- Caller: THEY DONT LEAVE MESSAGE
- FireWife41| 1 replyThis people call my home at least once a day and ask for a person that I don't know. They have been asked to stop calling and told they have the wrong number, yet they still call. My daughters were home today and answered the phone, they are ages 16 and 7. The man began harassing them and I came home and took the phone. He began spewing insults about my daughters and them answering the phone. Really now, since when can these people decide who picks up my telephone when it rings. I told them today if they ever call my home or insult my daughters again I will be pressing charges against them. That of course made him insult me. Well, at this point my temper got the best of me and I called him a very un-nice name. This was after his insults to my daughters and myself. These people are horrible do not let them bully you into anything. I will be contacting my phone company tomorrow to have a tracer put on and filing a report with the police if they call back. Never once have they said who they are I guess just calling people and asking for random names is a positive business practice in this organization.
- C.C.V.We are a retirement village. This number calls multiple times daily and hangs up without talking or leaving a message. This is a nusiance call that needs to be stopped.

- Scammer ResistanceThis message is for everyone... Just open up a Virtual Google Voice phone number, then change your regular number, and only give out your google voice phone number to whomever... This way you not only can record your voicemail messages, but have one phone number for all your phones, and have forwarding calls/voicemail to your regular phones, and never giving away your real phone numbers... And if you get a ton of these scammers & calls, simply just change your google voice number easy as 1 2 3, and then re-link your reg. phone numbers again to your new google voice phone number, just like you did when you first opened up your google voice.
All calls & voicemails get recorded within your google voice, and also then forwarded to your linked reg. phone numbers.... So this way you never give out your real phone numbers. And they also offer cheap international phone call dialing as well. Please Note: to make calls with your google voice number through your computer it will require you to have a microphone, that you can both listen to conversations & a mic where you can speak in the conversation. Like a phone headset. But you can still listen to your recorded phone messages & voicemail, through your computers speakers if you do not wish to make calls from your google voice phone number...
Additionally not all areas are covered by Google Voice, by Zip code, well you can still open up a new google voice with another close by town's zip code, if your zip code area is not available. And it works just the same. For example: say someone lives in Bangor, Maine there is no google voice numbers in that area, but there is ones available for Portland, Maine's zip code. And you can still create a google voice virtual phone number with that Portland's Zip code even though you lived somewhere else in a different town, in that state. To learn more just check out Google.com then sign in, and search "google voice" thanks & I hope this helps everyone.- Caller: 918-442-9109

- BrianCall comes in about two to four times a day, Caller ID on Verizon shows number is from Tulsa, OK.
After i answer the call the caller hang's up.
Have a Droid X smart phone running "Call Control", just black listed and it will stop the ringer after 2 ring's and using the "don't leave a message" option.
Thank you,
Brian - KristineI recieved these calls constantly and they also threatened to have me arrested. I told them to mail me proof of what I owe them on. Of course, they didn't. I told them not to call here anymore and it continued. So the best thing to do for these pieces of crap scammers is to file a claim against them with the Federal Trade Commission. It is a government office for complaints like these and if they continue you can actually take them to court and win. The best thing to do is not answer your phone let your answering machine pick up the call. They will adventually leave you a message saying they will have you arrest (no one can do that, so don't worry) everytime they call you, call the Federal Trade Commission they deal with people like this very well. They keep track of everything. Good luck to all.

- cease, and desist now!| 1 replyTHIS COMPANY HAS BEEN CALLING ME ASKING FOR SOMEONE ELSE, AND CONTINUES TO HARASS ME WITH ITS NEARLY DAILY, FREQUENT CALLING; DESPITE MY INFORMING THEM THAT THEY ARE CALLING SOMEONE ELSES PHONE NUMBER THAN THE PERSON THEY REQUEST. AND DESPITE MY TELLING THEM NOT TO CALL AGAIN.
The associates of this company give the name of the company as "USFC"; U.S Fast Cash.
they refuse to put a supervisor, or manager on the phone, they also refuse to give their address. They say it is a web site.
At my persistance that they give me an addressI was referred to call customer service at 1800-636-9460, I did not call this number, so as to not tempt them to continue calling me.
I will prayerfully provide more information as it comes forth.- Caller: US FAST CASH

"IF they do not provide you with the verification of the debt, the debt is invalid and not subject to collection. PAY NOTHING TO ANYBODY UNLESS THEY PROVIDE YOU WITH WRITTEN VERIFICATION OF THE DEBT, AND ONLY THEN IF YOU FEEL THE DEBT IS VALID - otherwise, let them sue you for the debt, as a real law firm will only bring a legal action on a truly valid debt".

- BenThese people keep calling me 3-4 times a day asking for a person who I assume has had this number before me.
I tell them to stop calling, I'm not the one they want, and have no idea who they are looking for, again saying the number was from a TRAC phone and am sure that's the mix up, again, stop calling me, this is a waste of all our times.
I've even taken to using some cursing in this discourse.
They assure me they are sorry and they'll work it out.
A hour later I get a call!
WTF company, do you not understand you are annoying me with useless calls?!- Caller: Wouldn't tell me
