Verizon Wireless calling you to tell you to pay your bill!

VZW calling.. pay your bill.. got a text message right after the call

It was an unknown number so I let it roll to voice mail. The message asked me to call them back and use my phone number as a reference number. They did not identify themselves.

It is a Verizon wireless pay your bill reminder. Got the call followed by a text.

It was a courtesy notice that my bill was past due. I was on autopay and the credit card was replaced due to a data breach. My bad. I forgot to update.

This is Verizon calling, like others have said - your bill is late, and it's a recording to remind you and perhaps set a payment date

Got a text that woke me up this AM telling me to pay Verizon within 24 hours and then a call at

Verizon calling. U pay your bill and 3 days later wants another payment. This gets old  it doesn't matter if u are passed due r not. No wonder they are loosing business

No answer, probably Verizon inquiring about payment.

Recorded message saying it was Verizon Wireless Financial Services calling for a Lela Kilmer.  I've had this Verizon # for over 20 years and don't even know a Lela.  I pressed 2 when it said "If this is not Lela..."  Then I pressed 3 when it said "we have called the wrong number" or something similar.  Then it asked for me to set up a PIN to "set up my account."  Ummmm..... I've had an account under my own name for over 20 years and already have a PIN.  I hung up immediately. I smell scam....

Get many calls a day. Sometimes they change the number. Also get several text from different numbers. May owe but shouldn't be getting harassing calls and text. Google Search claims it's a scam.

Scam pretending to be Verizon!

Said they are Verizon calling to collect for another  person, and not even on my plan! I know the person they say they are calling about and they do not owe money! Scam!!

Caller ID says "WorldPac" (which can be spoofed), and the recording claims that they are "Verizon Financial Services".  We don't answer.  Bill is paid up to date.

And, some of you need to do more Googling on this number.  MANY people have said it's a scam & say that when they call (the real) Verizon number, Verizon says it's a scam, to block/not answer.

Yep. It's Verizon asking for money!

We do not answer calls on our cell phone.  So, we called the real Verizon (not this #) the last time this happened.  Apparently, they had screwed up the autopay.  We requested they NEVER phone us, & that they phone our land line only if they ever had a payment problem, or mail us a hard copy of the bill.

The number came up with ID of Raleigh, NC.  I answered; the recording said it was Verizon and to please hold. A man came on saying he was with Verizon and wanted my phone number.  I said, "YOU called ME, you should have my number."  He said he had to manually look up my account. I said, "And you are calling from Raleigh?"   He said, "No."  I said, "Ok, then, I have to assume this is a scam - good bye."
