One ring and hung up when got machine. Followed by a known scam call a few minutes later.

Call from North Carolina Chapter of the National Police Support Fund.  This is a scam, plain and simple.  Others have tried to determine the organization's funding activities and could not find where the money raised is going.  Different states' police departments have disavowed any knowledge of or relationship with this organization.  Despite its claims of what is a noble cause, supporting police officers, it is clear this is just another scam to tug at your heartstrings while stealing your money.

called my home at shortly before 6 PM yesterday and left no message.  Given the previous reports, I was not about to waste my time with a suspected scammer.  I would never donate $ to any unknown organization or person who telephones me.
