I copied this from another message when I Googled "John from medical alert". "John" has called me twice - the first time I listened, so can confirm this was pretty much the same exact message. Second time I hung up as soon as I heard "This is John at...." Seems like this same message is coming from lots of numbers.

Hi this is John from the shipping department of emergency medical alert. I was calling to schedule delivery of your medical alert system. It's the fall and I can't get a type of system you seen on TV. Looks like the system is been recommended by thousands of hospitals and medical professionals let's see says here that the systems already been paid for. Looks like you're getting the system because either yourself or a friend or family member or maybe even someone(?) you know who's experienced a fall in the past. So we-can(?) so already been paid for. So there's no cost to you whatsoever. Also says here that the shipping is already been paid for. So to schedule delivery of your merge."

Received a call from this number. Let machine get it. I tried calling back and to no surprise the number is disconnected.

I keep getting a call from this number, says he needs to know where to ship my Life Alert, which I did not order. He also said it was already paid for. I believe this is a scam.

Same experience here.  Have received previous calls from numbers and dates:

Call-back attempts to all resulted in phone company disconnected or not-in-service messages.
Have filed complaints with NCDOJ, Do-Not-Call Complaints and FCC

Calls several days in a row. Do not leave a message and sometimes hangs up before machine goes on.

I just received a call from this number, caller said he was John from Medical Alert and wanted to arrange for delivery of "my" system which had already been paid for.  I had to interrupt him to say he was not calling for me because I had not purchased this item.  He kept talking and repeated that it had been paid for so I hung up on him.  Caller ID said call came from Cart, NC.

Why doesn't John get a real job??? He calls about twice a week only to be
cut off by us hanging up..... Dumb me listen the first time.. only to question
what I was receiving free... Ha ha ha.. The old saying.... Nothing is free....
I hope that someone can get this phone number out of working order...
I have asked to be removed from his call list..... but no satisfaction.....
Okay people..... let's get the free gift shipped somewhere...... maybe if enough
of these freebies are sent out ... John will get rich.... and his boss will
go broke... what do you say...... shall we do it???????????

Answered this caller to see what it was. Sounds real, but is a recorded message, from John, at Medical alerts.
Tells me I'm approved for a FREE alert system. All they need to do is schedule delivery! Press 1, for delivery, press 5, to decline. I pressed 5, & was told I would not be called again!   Yea-I bet!

Rec. a call wanting to know where to deliver my life alert system that I did not order.  Caller John said it was already paid for and would be at no cost to me.  When I asked questions as to who paid for this, he would not answer me.  I told him I did not want the item and would not set up the appointment.  He kept on talking so I finally had to hang up on him.  Pretty sure it is a scam on the elderly.

he keeps calling and I am on the do not call list. Seems the phone co says it is not a valid number, but he calls from there. Can they not disconnect him?

I just experienced the same thing.... I guess it is a recording or the guy is just reading. I kept calling him a liar but he wouldn't respond and then I hung up.
Called back 919 659 5636 and it is a disconnected number.

I also got a call from this number.  It's the first time they actually left a message.  Like the others it is a call telling me I have a medic alert system already paid for.  I'm calling Medicare because this is a scammer who is probably after my Medicare number (which I don't have yet).  I attended a meeting of my local Council on Aging recently and was told this is probably a scam.

Just had same exact same call.. Hopefully his number will be removed.

I was expcting a call from a business source so I answered the phone. All I heard was elevator music so I hung up. Later in the day I got another call from that number  so I didn't answer.  If this was Medical Alerts I have  told them I was not interested and donot call again.  Being on the DCL doesn't mean a thing.

Called me in oak island, at 1:40AM today... was asleep so did not answer. Caller ID left it as UNKNOWN NAME

First time I got a call from this number I listened for a couple of minutes and tried EVERYthing to interrupt saying that I didn't know what he was talking about and could not understand either because he was talking so fast. Finally after several attempts to find out what he/they were really selling, I just hung up. HOWEVER, had another call from this number today. Didn't answer. They left no message.
