Sounded like a Robo call of a male saying he need me to call him back regarding my North Carolina state employee credit union bank account.  He had my name correct and gave me a case number to refer to. I did an Internet search and this is not a state employee credit union telephone number.

I got a call from that number on my cell phone a couple weeks ago, but didn't answer. The man left a message using my first name saying something about a problem with my credit card, but he spoke so fast and had such a thick SE Asian accent i couldn't completely understand him. He did say at end of call the number i needed to call back was different from one posted. I called SECU on number on website, and sent a secure message about same. The message i got back from SECU was that it was a scam call.

Same as above except it was a woman leaving the voice message and she did not sound like a robot. Did a search on the internet and they have tied their number to the SECU fraud prevention site BUT it is NOT actually listed ON the site. Beware.

Left rushed vm message. Said they were from state employees credit union fraud prevention. They left a different number to call back. This is NOT SECU. I called Secu’s number printed on my card and asked to speak with fraud prevention. They confirmed this is a total scam. Glad I did not pick up or call these jokers.

Called to verify transactions from my bank account,number not associated with SECU

It’s definitely the fraud department I knew of an unauthorized transaction that occurred and it didn’t allow me to make my transaction because it was out of the country. They called a day later off the listed number and left the 1-866 number to call
Them . He was legit and he provided my case number.

This is definitely not the fraud department. You wanna know how I know? I got the same call and I'm not even a member.

Received a text message from this number about a job and how urgent it was for me to call them.

Received a voice mail from an authoritative male voice saying to call the NC state employees credit union because there was fraudulent activity on my account. By checking this number on the web, I found this helpful set of warnings.

Got a vague and suspicious voicemail from a man saying he was from “the state employees credit union call center” and I needed to call back to “discuss my account”. A case number was given. The man speaking knew my first name but not my last and he did not sound very professional (kind of gruff and short.) The number used is not the same one listed on the SECU website. Likewise, I had no messages in my online account or letters from the bank. I would not trust this number.

This number called while I was at work. When I got off and saw the missed call after hours I was anxious I missed an important call. I almost called them back but thought to google it first! This is a scam. Be careful! Call your branch and check in with them immediately!

Was texted by two different numbers earlier in the day. A 97545 number sent two text message OTP numbers then I got a txt message from 23618 saying they are NCSECU fraud alert. I called the number on the back of my card and these are not from SECU!!! then I just got a call from this 9198565005 number which is also part of this same scam! Was a woman caller
