ON voice mail, whomever it was knew my name - but heard the 'beep' of a robo-dial start.  No message.

Said he had talked to us four or five months ago about painting our house.  Not true! I told him so and that I knew it was a scam and hung up.  Caller ID said Anonymous.

Answered with phone muted. Someone/thing started to speak and then hung up. Came up as UNKNOWN NAME on phone and OUT OF AREA on Call Blocker. Typical loser readout. Blocked. C'mon swampers, force the phone companies to sort the bad callers with a few simple lines of code counting dialed-out calls. A fine of $10 to the big companies for every robocall that gets through would dry up the whole industry overnight. Swamper "donation" pay-offs, as usual.

Called five times in a week. I picked up yesterday and he insisted I asked him to call about house painting. I told him I knew it was a lie. He called twice more today. I did not answer.

Guy claimed he had talked to me "4 or 5 months ago" about a painting job I wanted to do. Said he was in my neighborhood 4-5 months ago working on a roof (I don't remember seeing any roof work on my street, ever, except solar panel installations), and that now he was around the corner finishing up painting up someone's deck, and wanted to know if I was still interested in that painting job we talked about.

None of this was true in the slightest. If I have painting work to do, I do it myself. I have all the equipment to do either air or airless spraying. The real kicker, though: this guy was calling with "Anonymous" as the caller ID. Yeah, that's a legitimate business.

I usually don't pick up spam calls at all, but I engaged this guy. I told him I knew he was running a scam, and that I wasn't falling for it. I called him on his BS story and told him flat out that I knew for a fact that none of what he was saying ever happened. I'm not senile (I didn't tell him that.) He kept protesting, and I just talked over him. "This is a SCAM, I know it, you know it, good-bye." He didn't try to call back.

I was not at all surprised to find his number has hits here.

What a coincidence! He told me the same thing. And its truth level was the same also: ZERO.

Seems to be calling daily ... never leaves a message.

This/these guys work an area & move on. It's
my "area" for calls again!

I have had 6 incoming calls from this number.  I have answered twice on speaker, and silent on the other end.  If they ever do answer, and ask about previously calling me about painting, I will light em' up with anger!

Calls but doesn’t leave message. Blocked now. Today has been a busy day for scammers, I’ve received 5 calls from different numbers.

Yep, keeps calling, even more than once a day.
