Same thing. Only reason I answered was because it was 7:49 am & was asleep. Scammer said he was a Microsoft Windows tech & our computer was being hacked. He needed me in front of the computer asap. My husband took over call & asked him his name & he said Dave Jones (with an India accent...HA!). My husband told him we will call our own tech support & he said our computer will crash in 10 minutes. NOT! HUGE SCAM...DO NOT FALL FOR IT. The scam is they corrupt your computer(if you give them access) & then sell you "protection". My next step is to report scam to Federal Gov. They have shut many of these places down but is a never ending job.

Same thing. Received a call from an "Dave Faulkner" he knew my home address and said he had my MS License # to let me know someone had tried to hack my account and use it for cyber crime activity.

I got scammed by these mutha [***] ,i called the banks where i do business and had every card i use for on line purchuses canceled.The card i used that day was reembursed for the 200.00,because it was fraud i called microsoft support and was in formed that they(micro soft)do not call any one for any reason.The support tech. Was very help full.Together we can stop these paracitic pieces of [***].He said his name is eric wilkinson,his work id 9748ph( which in allterms should be his prison number)

Got the call at 8AM from "unknown name unknown number." I usually don't answer those calls but didn't have my glasses! Guy with Indian accent said he was from Microsoft and they had a report that hackers were trying to get into my computer. He needed me to get in front of my computer so he could walk me through steps to fix it. I asked his name & he said John Anderson. I told him I would call him back & he tried to insist that I take care of it right away. I firmly told him I would call him back & wanted a phone #. He gave me 925-300-1135 & 925-300-1132 to reach him directly. He knew my name & address also which was scary! I figured Windows wouldn't contact me by phone. Obviously a scam!

Asked for me by name. Said he was calling from Microsoft Windows Technical Department because they had received several error messages from my computer. I said I hadn't sent any error messages out and asked his name. He said, "Kevin, Kevin Wills". I asked for a phone number and was given 925 300 1132; I asked for a toll-free number "in case we got disconnected" haha! I was given 1 888 389 5646.  He kept asking if I was in front of my computer, to turn it on, to hold down the "four-flag Windows logo" at the same time as the letter "R" key. I asked to know all the steps I would be asked to perform  ahead of time, and I asked the purpose.  He said it was to show me all the hackers who had been accessing my computer. That's when I said I would call back to make sure I was speaking to Microsoft, and hung up.  Sounded to me like he was trying to gain access to my computer.

Same thing... A call from John a Windows rep.  Said yhat  I have problems, etc.  I asked for phone # and he gave me to supervisor .They have all my info but still wanted to know when I purchased computer. I said, "If you have my info then you know how old the computer is."  They both said they needed 'me' to tell them.  I didn't!  But I did get a phone # 1-935-300-1132.  Checked w/son-in-law who then checked this site -- It is a big scam!!!

I got a call today and the gentleman said he was Kaven Lewis calling about my Windows. Told him I would call him back. He tried to make it sound like it was urgent that I speak with him. Said he was holding the line for me...

Man called with Indian accent - said I needed to fix my computer with urgency.  Knew it was a scam!  They were combative.  When I hung up they called right back.  No id on the phone.  First said it was on my microsoft computer even though I didn't have one.  Guy then transferred me to a "apple" support!  Did know my name which is creepy!
