Calling my "do Not Call" registered phone number repeatedly as a robo-call. Location is shown as "East San Francisco Bay Area".  The call on 01/10/2018 came in at 8:39 PM EST. This appears to be a telemarketer who calls every few days. The "Do Not Call" registry does not do it's job and has become a useless waste of taxpayer dollars. No free directory identifies who this phone number belongs to. Does anyone know who is making these illegal calls?

First of all, the DNC list does do it's job.  It keeps you from getting calls from legitimate telemarketers.
Second, no taxpayer dollars are involved. The list is paid for by the same telemarketers who don't call you.
Third, scammers such as these ignore the DNC list. Invest in a call blocker if you get many unwanted calls.

Just like the others, rec’d a call from the above number.  Did not recognize it so did not answer.
They left no msg.    Probable scam ?

Calls around 9pm, I let it ring through to voice mail but never leaves a message.

The free apps don't tell you anything. I've got
2 payedd apps that come up with nothing. I get multiple calls 5 or 6 times daily. It's really annoying.
