This Injdian guy named "Matthew" has called both my cell phone and homte phone saying that my computer was being infected and that I needed to log on and allow him access to fix the problem and secure my computer. I told him that my PC is not hooked up and to stop calling or I would turn him into the Attorney General. I also informed him that both numbers were registered with the Do Not Call registry. He called me a liar and got argumentative with me. I continue to get numerous, consecutive calls from them. I am contacting a lawyer.

This call came to my cell phone this afternoon. I do not give my cell number to anyone, so knew it was suspicious. When I researched the number, I saw all the complaints here. I have blocked the number, but more importantly, I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at  www.complaints.donotcall.gov. If you are on the federal/state Do Not Call list, it is important that you file a complaint with them. Complaining here is probably not enough. Yes, it takes time to write up the complaint, but if we all do it, hopefully, the FTC will put an end to these scammers. This site (800notes.com) is helpful because when I research a number, the entries here tell me quickly who is calling and why. Let's all work together to put these guys out of business.

As soon as I said I wasn't my mom be they are calling her, they hung up and when I called the number back it was disconnected

Call came in on Saturday, August 1, at 9:34 AM MDT.  No name on caller ID.  No message left.  Previous posts indicate this is a "computer repair" scam.  I received another call from a different number about two hours later.  When I checked that number on 800notes, that number is also a "computer repair" scam.  I personally know a man from church who fell for a "computer repair" scam and had his checking account cleaned out in short order; that was about two years ago.

Now they are calling with blocked number and out of area showing, trying to get me to give access to my system, I asked him how he got through my firewall, He could not answer.  I hung up.
