- Pissed ConsumerFake IRS scam. They left the same number as they called from, so please feel free to call back and troll them.
They have a native english speaker reading the script now, but anyone with half a brain knows it's fake as soon as they words "Internal Revenue Service" are spoken.
Why is "Obvious Scam" not selectable as a call type?- Caller: Fake IRS Scammer

- Fred BassetBS. Wanna be IRS officials. Using scare tactics about a supposedly situational case on me. THE IRS DOES NOT CALL PEOPLE. THEY COMMUNICATE VIA the post office. I feel bad for the elderly and naive victims.
- Call type: Debt collector
- PCS| 2 repliesI just received a call from officer Adam Webster for tax evasion and they were going to send the police to my house. When I called backed and asked where they were located they hung up.
- GenoReceived call from so-called IRS agent Adam Webster. The IRS doesn't do business via phone unless you call them. This is a scam attempting to prey on people, not that we aren't already preyed upon enough.

- IreneI received a recorded message 6/20/15 at 10:19 am PST from Tel# 929-332-2303.The voice of the guy is caucasian. It says, "This message is intended for you. This call is from the Internal Revenue Service. The very second you receive this message, I need you or your retained attorney of record to return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time-sensitive. My name is officer Adam Webster and direct line to my division is"... (with different male recorded voice - 929-332-2303. I repeat 929-332-2303).... back to Adam's voice - "Now, if you don't return the call and I don't hear from your attorney either, then the only thing I could do is wish you goodluck as the situation unfolds on you. Goodbye and take care." I know I owe IRS tax for 2014 so I thought it might be normal for IRS officer to call me. I called this morning and when a guy answered, I said I'm returning call from IRS. Is this Adam Webster? And he replied, "Yes." I already had a bad feeling because the guy's voice is from India. But I was so upset at what he was claiming that I had an IRS criminal/fraud case and that they sent me correspondences. At latter part of conversation, he said he is John Walter, and then it hit me that that was not the name on the recorded message. I told him I will just get a lawyer and call them back. At the end of the conversation, I heard the guy say something like don't call this number again. I entered the number in Google, and now I realized I have been scammed. This is what I found in google - https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-929-332-2303. The guy has my number and box number and zipcode. Not sure if he knows my full name. Now, I think I did give my full name over the phone. I feel so stupid for falling into another scam. Maybe one good thing is that I didn't give him the correct address and zipcode I used to file my taxes for 2014.

Pure evil! - KimI received the same phone call three times already. I took the phone number to the police and they told me it was a scam and they had a lot of complaints and not to respond back to them. Then I went to the BBB to file an official complaint, so it would be on file even if the number has been changed. They will still have a record of it. Don't answer it. I just let my machine pick it up and if it's important they will leave a message.
