- Jerry| 1 replyI got a call with this caller ID however I hardly think that's actually who called. It's the DP&L main phone customer service number.
Phone number: 937-331-3900. Name: Dayton Power & Light Co. Address: Dayton, OH, 45432. - A DP&L CUSTOMER replies to JerryThat probably was DP&L. I received a courtesy from that number after my power was restored from a storm.
- TaylorI just got a call from this number too!
- SeanRepeated calls
- MegsLiving in San Diego, I doubt that Dayton Power would be calling me. Likely a spoofed number.
- Caller: DPL?
- MJVLegit. Recording from Dayton Power & Light advising of scheduled power outage for my area tomorrow due to maintenance.
- Caller: Dayton Power & Light
- LegCan't assure you it's a legit number or not. Can't assure it's legit intentions neither but was an automatic system who identified the caller as DP&L, informing a sub-contractor named Osmos will be conducting an inspection of the power lines soon. Such could involved physical inspection and/or digging. Such event is to warrant and/or improve the quality of the service. Also provided a web site but was unable to get it.
- Caller: DP&L on behalf of Osmos
- LegUpdating previous post from 10/24.

- Gidget| 1 replyWell, I'm in Florida and just had a call on my cell. I seriously doubt Dayton would be calling Florida about anything power related!
- WillIt's Dayton Power & Light. They will sometimes call and leave automated messages if power had been out and it has been restored or if they're going to be in your area doing tree trimming near power lines
- Caller: DP&L

- Elijah| 1 replyHeavy accent, notifying me of a ignored disconnect, letting me know a tech was on his way to disconnect. I asked to pay bill knowing it was scammers. One guy transfered me to another guy where i asked why he thought it was ok to scam people out of money. After a lause he informed me that he makes great money to thw tune of "24 G per day" after informing hom what a piece of crap him and people like him are he tells me he hopes my wife and children are raped. I think its time to bring the fight back to these pieces of crap!
- Caller: Scam posing as DP&L
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- JustinCase replies to ElijahStart by not playing--answering unknown numbers--in any way. Be prepared to hear that when you're dealing with crooks, it's their way of a victory for you not falling for their pitch. Don't get in the practice of playing along with, or engaging in conversation with them, either. These are criminals you're messing with, and even if they don't get anywhere with you, they've still got the chance to resell your number and keep your phone ringing. If you don't know the number, it doesn't hurt to ignore it completely if you can. These guys have nobody taking their calls, they're harmless and in a world of trouble.
- Pleeze| 1 replySCAM CALL! Got a call on my home business office phone from this number Saturday around 5:15 pm. Guy with accent said he was calling to tell me that my payment for my DP&L account was late and someone was coming to shut off my electricity within 20 minutes. I DO NOT HAVE DP&L!!!!
- Caller: SCAM DP&L
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- BigA replies to PleezeWouldn't matter, this is the utility shutoff scam.
- quilt ladywhen it's not being spoofed, it is DP & L. They call to confirm when power is restored after an outage as well as calling before planned outages and when their contractors are doing work that could cause an outage.
- Caller: Dayton Power & Light
- Call type: Valid
- ElwoodThey called, but would not speak.
- TSOf course it's a scam, I have never given DP&L my cell phone number.
- bearcatnatThis number called our business and informed us our power would be turned off within 30 minutes for non-payment of our bill. The number is being spoofed by an international number that shows above this one as V7151239160004. Additionally, the recorded message gives a *different* number to call, which is a big clue that this a scam! The number given to call is 1-877-459-4004. Our business owner called the legitimate DP&L number and got confirmation that this is a scam. Be careful!
