Look up the company information on sunbiz.org......

Look for the owners and company officers names and check the property appraisers site for florida and get their public records and call them at home....

The business owners and officers information are a matter of Public Recod aka Freedom of information act set forth by Federal Law just the same as your information is public record....

Dont give out your phone number to anyone, you cannot be refused service or any type of care for not having phone service.

People learn your rights on the fair debt and collection act, which by the way is the Federal Laws on collection practices and what your rights are and what collection cannot do.....

My number is on the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) national Do Not Call registry.

This afternoon (Sunday of all days), I received a call from this number - 941-684-1710.  My Caller ID displayed the words "Out of Area" and the telephone number.  When I picked up my phone the other end hung up.  A search of the internet identifies the caller as Gulf Coast Collection Bureau Inc. in Florida.

EVERY TIME I receive an unwanted call I report it to the FTC using its online complaint format.  I provide the date, time of the call, what Caller ID displayed and the message if there was one on my voice mail.  I have decided to let the FTC know that people are tired of unwanted calls.

These companies/individuals know that most people will not bother to complain to the FTC - that is what they are relying on.  Thus, they stay under the FTC's radar.

If more people would complain, the FTC WILL take action against these annoying callers.  The FTC does not act on one report alone.  It takes many reports before they will take action - but they DO take action if enough citizens complain.

so, like many of you, i get a call from these people (at 10am on a saturday). i talk to an agent and he tells me that they are looking for someone who is an OLD roommate of mine (like 5 years + old) and that she gave them the number in feb... which is not possible because i have not talked to this person in 5 years and i just got this number in march...

I don't know why they persist in calling my phone numbers.  I have had this number for at least 10 years and another number for at least 15 years.  I owe no one and don't know any of the people all these debt collectors are looking for.   VERY ANNOYING.  I used to call back and tell them they called the wrong number but to NO AVAIL so I don't bother responding and they still keep calling!

Someone from this phone number keeps calling my awnsering machine and and has been for some time and are not leaving any message!

To the best of my knowledge, the Do Not Call List only applies to Telemarketers NOT collection agencies.

Ater hearing the 4 minute computer generated voice message from 941-684-1710. I returned the call and talked with several lady's. They were very professional and very cordial.

Years ago I was in a time of my life without health insurance. Several medical billings went to collections. Of which were also posted on my credit report. These two bills are 6 1/2 yeras old. They will expire from my credit report in 6 months (Credit reports only go back 7 years)

I tried to negotiate a lower, reasonable single payment to settle the collections. After beng put on hold 10 minutes their reply was NO, that they were unable to negotiate.

I thanked them for their time. And I informed them I was left with choice but to let the next 6 months expire them.

Question? Isn't it good business to collect 50% of something Vs NOT collecting a single penney?

Yes I am unemployed. The Doctors who showed me compassion in my time of need were awesome, and I desire to give them payment back. Trying to do something good for their efferts is honerable...   and I was denied.

get calls at least twice a day, had to put them on blocked #'s since I only got this # a week ago

Received a phone call on my cell phone from the number at 5:27 tonight. Of course it doesn't list the name of who is calling.  Whenever I don't know who is calling, I just let it go to voice mail.  They didn't leave a message. I figured it wasn't important!! I looked it up on here and can tell I don't want them calling me (especially on my cell phone). Anyway I went to my missed calls log and low and behold at the bottom of my phone screen it gives me the option to "call" (never!), "block" (YAY!!!) and "delete" (of course).  I pressed blocked and now it is blocked from my cell phone!! :-))  It will go straight to voice mail (but of course they won't leave a message so I won't have any record of them calling and they won't disturb me with a ringing phone)  ISN'T technology amazing?  Now to get my home phone to do that! Check it out on your cell phones!!! AT&T handles mine!

get an auto dialer and call their number  each day say this is ""  if this is not "" then hang up  after awhile they will get the picture. Also send certified letter to stop calling  and then keep track if they do.
