    Received .png image via text on Monday (3/2) "Notice of Civil Infraction Hearing Toll Violation".  https://i.redd.it/vqyqhpx6fpmg1.png Reddit thread identifies as scam.  Reported to FTC as fraud, reported and blocked number.

    Definitely a scam.
    Such notifications would not be sent via text, and you would have been more than two days notice for appearance.  Interesting that both the Judge and the Clerk of the Court are named "John Smith".
    The QR code resolves to a domain that was created using a register in China.

    The official site for the Superior Court of California County of Los Angeles has this warning at the top of their home page:
