Received numerous calls on 09/27/2019 with a recorded message stating that my social security number had been frozen. "To hear more about this, please press 1 now". I pressed 1, and was connected to a female with a middle-eastern (likely from India) accent, who identified herself as "OFFICER ASHLEY GRAHAM FROM THE SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION". She also gave me a "badge number". I knew this was a scam: she asked me for my first and last name and my social security number. I first asked her to tell me her last name again and she said her last name was "GRANT".  I gave her a fictitious name, and spoke really fast when providing a fictitious last name, spelling it completely different each time. There was a lot of background noise - I work in a federal call center, and the technology this caller was using was far from industry standard - with zero noise cancelling - DEFINITELY a randomly generated phone number via VOIP. If I were to make an educated guess, she was calling from a call center in India. After repeating the last name so many times and her repeating it back to me, I acted increasingly agitated, and she eventually got frustrated and disconnected.
