Called my home phone number and didn’t leave a message. Blocked.

Blocked on 10.17.18 at 10:00 AM.

"Hello this is Megan with the Student Loan Advisory Board.  I am calling in regards to your current federal student loan balances.  And I have some great news!  You have been pre-qualified for the Student Loan Forgiveness program.  However it is imperative that I can speak with you as soon as possible before this program expires.  Please call me back at 888-315-7613.  Once again my telephone number, 888-315-7613.  I'll look forward to speaking with you, thanks so much and have a blessed day."

I don't have a student loan.  If I did I might have fallen for this.

Wow! I just applied for student loan forgiveness yesterday and got this same exact message today.

I just received exact same message and I do have student loans.  Thank you for posting!!!

A woman by the name of Megan left a voice mail message indicating that she was from the Student Loan Advisory Board, and that I pre-qualified for student loan forgiveness.  She also said that I needed to act quickly before the program expired, and left the call back number:  866-620-2782, though the number on my caller ID was 1-559-404-6115.  At the end of the message, she said, "have a blessed day".  When I called the number, an automated message indicated that all operators were busy, and advised me to leave my name, phone number, and the total amount of loan debt, and someone would return my call.  At the end of the message, the person also said, "have a blessed day".  I left no information, hung up, and blocked the number.

Just got the same message from "heather" from different number, 775-665-7999, and with a callback number of 877-374-5545.

Received same call from Madison to call back at 877-331-3108. Only get a busy signal. Had one last week from someone else with the same message to call back at a different number with the same results.
What's really funny about receiving these is that I have NEVER had a student loan.

I am in the process of beginning college and received this message, from Betty, but from 866-503-0106.  Couldn't find any info regarding that number, but this was word for word the same message, down to the blessed day.  Found this page while trying to find out if the message was legitimate.

OMG...I got the EXACT SAME voicemail msg today (Oct. 28, 2019).  The SAME fake "company" (SL Adv. Board).  The only difference is the caller said her name was "Betty" and the phone number she called from was 331--777-1017.  ROFL.  I am really angry that either my iPhone service provider or the US Dept. of Education, to whom I mail my SL payments (all paid on time BTW), gave out my iPhone # to these third party fraudsters/scammers/liars to harass me.  Anyway...if anyone gets a msg like this, you folks know what to do:  BLOCK + DELETE + IGNORE.

I don't think anyone gave out your iPhone #.    I don't even have a student loan, how did they get MY number?  They just random dial all phone numbers in a sequence, and sometimes they get someone who falls for it.

Got the exact same message as "this is Me" but from Betty calling from 502-738-1537.  She requested I call her back at 877-532-0722.  It did come through on my line as a Spam Risk which was either flagged by my cell provider or by Apple.

I got this call this afternoon from a Megan. The voicemail was pretty much word-for-word as quoted by ThisIsMe. Caller ID had tagged it as unknown, and the callback number was 866-211-2238. I'm in ON, Canada, and I do have student loans. It is very suspicious, as I have not seeked them out.

Ahh, just got a message from little old Meg, herself.. figured id looked her up before calling back.. unbelievable.

I got the exact same call from "Megan" right down to the have a blessed day.  I also don't have any student loan debt.  I was told to call (866) 439-6182 but the number was from (682) 223-3769 in Grapevine, TX

I got this message and do have student loans.  I had applied for forgivness but was denied as were about 99% of others.  goverment not really interested in helping those of us paying back student loans.  So when I got this I was a skeptic.  Thanks for posting. The original caller came up restircted.  What ever happened to the Opt out option?  We did that too but doesent seem to mean anything.  Got the Megan message that others have.
